ABSTRACT Despite extensive investigations into photophysics at the molecular level, complex interplays between intermolecular interactions, hierarchical assembly, and photoluminescence properties remain a fundamental challenge in materials science, particularly concerning emergent phenomena aggregates. Herein, we construct different dimeric structures both solution aggregate states through cycloreversion upon photoirradiation from series of nonemissive phenanthrene cycloadducts, exhibiting...

Abstract Ageing and cell senescence of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) limited their immunomodulation properties therapeutic application. We previously reported that nucleosome assembly protein 1‐like 2 (Nap1l2) contributes to MSCs osteogenic differentiation. Here, we sought evaluate whether Nap1l2 impairs the immunomodulatory find a way rescue deficient properties. demonstrated metformin could impaired migration T regulation OE‐Nap1l2 BMSCs. Moreover, improve efficacy BMSCs in treatment...

Herein we reported a new type of silicon dioxide wrapped magnetic nanoparticles-labeled lateral flow strip for detection HBs antigen in sera. The SiO2 Fe3O4 nanocomposites were prepared and characterized by HR-TEM, FTIR magnetometer. As-prepared used to label anti-HBV surface monoclonal antibody, the strips constructed, 100 specimens sera collected tested. Results showed that shell/core structure, well dispersed, with size 25 nm diameter, thickness shell was about 3 nm, their saturation...

Star-shaped block copolymers (SPs) have shown promise as antifouling coating materials on water purification membranes. The unique architectural design of these SPs, composed covalently linked hydrophobic core and hydrophilic arms, offers the flexibility tailoring and/or arm compositions to achieve properties demand. Here, variable sizes SPs with increasingly polystyrene cores (PSCs) longer poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) arms were synthesized evaluate their coatability polysulfone...

Using the first-principles approach with Landauer formalism, we studied effects of monovacancy and Stone–Wales defects on electrical conductance carbon nanotube (CNT) itself its junction copper electrodes. We found that defect has almost negligible impact performance CNT(5,5) at Fermi level, while can reduce significantly Cu/CNT(5,5)/Cu by more than 30%.

Considered in this letter are the effects of interwall interaction on electrical conductance at junction a double-walled carbon nanotube (DWCNT) between two copper electrodes. In end-contact configuration, effect is rather weak, and both walls DWCNT contribute to electronic transport almost as if they parallel connectors. side-contact not only inner tube does overall conductance, its presence hinders outer wall by causing significant localization density states near Fermi level.

Star-shaped block copolymers (SPs), comprising a hydrophobic cross-linked polystyrene (PS) core with extended hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) arms, showed high promise as class of branched amphiphilic coating material, since the coatability and antifouling properties SPs could be tailored simply by tuning and/or arm compositions. However, complex reaction sequences required for synthesizing have been an obstacle scale-up and, therefore, their practical applications. Herein, we...
