The microscopic origin of the ferroic and multiferroic properties AlFeO3 have been carefully investigated. maximum entropy method was applied to X-ray diffraction data ab initio density functional theory calculations in order obtain electron distributions electric polarization. study chemical bonds shows that between Fe(3d) O(2p) ions are anisotropic, leading configuration shorter/longer stronger/weaker bonds. This leads Density states showed a magnetic polarization as result weak...
The lead-free AlFeO3-based compounds are attractive multiferroic materials, as those present piezoelectricity and ferrimagnetism at low temperatures. In this work the synthesis ferroic properties of ceramics were investigated. Stoichiometric proportions precursors - α-Fe2O3 α-Al2O3 milled sintered to obtain AlFeO3 ceramics. Also, doped with 2at% Nb2O5 or MnO2 in oxygen flow 1700 K. crystal structure samples was studied by X-ray diffraction. diffractograms refined Rietveld method. results...
It is still a challenging problem to obtain technologically useful materials displaying strong magnetoelectric coupling at room temperature. In the search for new effects and achieve this kind of coupling, nonlinear effect was proposed in magnetically disordered relaxor ferroelectric materials. context, aluminum iron oxide (AlFeO3), temperature magnetic spin glass compound, emerges as an attractive lead-free material along with effects. work, static, dynamic, dependent ferroic properties...
This study presents and discusses the use of a specific methodology combining experimental theoretical generation electron density maps in order to investigate electronic structure tetragonal BaTiO3. The were obtained from Rietveld structural refinement X-ray powder diffraction data, values ab initio calculations using Density Functional Theory. From results, an explanation for origin room-temperature electrical polarization BaTiO3 is proposed.
In this paper, three well-known prototypic ferroic materials, BaTiO3, PbZr0.4Ti0.6O3 and Fe3O4, were experimentally theoretically investigated to explore the origin of their respective state. Their structural properties determined by X-ray powder diffraction Rietveld refinement. The electron density distribution around cationic anionic sites obtained using Maximum Entropy Method on analyzing results. Electron distributions electronic band structures Density Functional Theory simulations...
In this work, we reported investigations on the structural, magnetic and dielectric properties of Mn doped 0.9BiFeO3-0.1BaTiO3 multiferroic compounds. X-ray diffraction studies revealed that materials crystallized in a pure distorted rhombohedral perovskite structure. A significant magnetization increase (reaching 0.50 emu/g) was observed for - samples. The characterization un-doped sample two conductivity mechanisms are present, one starting around 177 K other 325 K. samples, however, these...
The study of multiferroic crystalline materials is great technological and academic interest due to the correlation between their ferroelectric ferromagnetic properties. In this work, ferroic properties Nd-modified (A-site substitution) BiFeO3 (BNFO) compounds were studied. Ceramic compositions Bi1-xNdxFeO3 (x = 0.10 0.20) obtained through a route that included high-energy ball milling, isostatic pressing (to obtain ceramic shape) sintering in air. X-ray diffraction data showed these have...
Pterygoplichthys ambrosettii (Holmberg, 1893) is indigenous to the middle/lower Paraná basin and has been intentionally introduced several continents, including North America, Asia Europe. In Brazil, presence of allochthonous P. documented in Upper portion River, São Francisco Doce River. This study aims report first occurrence Mucuri river basin, located municipality Mucuri, Bahia, Brazil.
The study of ichthyoplankton composition, abundance and distribution is paramount to understand the reproductive dynamics local fish assemblages. analysis these parameters allows identification spawning sites, nursery areas migration routes. However, due lack characters in early life stages, morphological often impractical many studies identify only larvae. Additionally, its accuracy shows great variation between taxonomists laboratories according their experience specialty. DNA barcoding...
