Pb–Sn–Te bulk nanocrystalline (NC) materials are prepared successfully by quenching melts under high pressure. The mean particle size is about 100 nm and the crystal structure NaCl type. mechanism of formation NC alloy explained: there an increasing nucleation rate a decrease in growth nuclei with increase pressure during solidification processes. thermoelectric properties enhanced. This method promising for producing improved high-energy conversion efficiency.
