Virtual devices based on device emulation have been widely used in lab research of mobile app testing for their efficiency and low cost. However, it remains controversial to use virtual industry, given the inherent difficulties high-fidelity across diverse systems devices. Hence, companies still rely physical farms or services like AWS Device Farm.
Mobile emulation, which creates full-fledged software mobile devices on a physical PC/server, is pivotal to the ecosystem. Unfortunately, existing emulators perform poorly graphics-intensive apps in terms of efficiency and compatibility. To address this, we introduce graphics projection , novel virtualization mechanism that adds small-size space inside guest memory, processes operations involving control contexts resource handles without host interactions. While enhancing performance,...
For more than a decade, researchers have been extensively exploring mobile app testing on virtual devices [1-9], which are software-emulated running commodity servers, in similar vein as machines (VM) the cloud. Building server virtualization, naturally inherit benefits of VM, such scalability, elasticity, and cost efficiency. Moreover, virtualization enables useful features not offered by physical devices, service instrumentation [3], whole-system snapshot [9], memory introspection [1,2],...
Emerging mobile apps such as UHD video and AR/VR access diverse high-throughput hardware devices, e.g., codecs, cameras, image processors. However, today's emulators exhibit poor performance when emulating these devices. We pinpoint the major reason to be discrepancy between guest's host's memory architectures for i.e., centralized on a system-on-chip (SoC) versus PC/server's separated modules individual hardware. Such makes shared virtual (SVM) architecture of highly inefficient.
Abstract The historical records of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in a sediment core are essential for understanding the circulation them global context. In this study, we measured concentrations 22 OCPs from Huaihe River, China by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS). total concentration 18 kinds were range 0.01–7.18 ng g−1 with an average 4.53 g−1. detection rate was up to 51.60%. Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes (DDTs) predominant species core. different categories following...
