Background Dengue is the most common vector-borne viral infection. In recent times, an increase in age of cases with clinical dengue has been reported national surveillance system and published literature Vietnam. This change not only alter risk transmission disease burden different populations but also will impact for prevention control strategies. A retrospective study was conducted from 2000 to 2015 19 provinces southern Vietnam describe changes distribution circulating serotypes....
In spite of the prevalence public speaking courses at tertiary level, it remains a challenge for many English as Second language (ESL) learners. Collaborative learning strategies have been employed to support students in this skill. Various factors contribute success collaborative speaking; however, role teacher scaffolding has received limited research attention. As response, study examined undergraduate Vietnamese university who took part 15-session course investigate their perceptions...
Hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) is the most common enteroviral infection in South-East Asia. When evaluating role of enterovirus 71 (EVA71) as an etiological agent infectious South Vietnam, we revealed a high proportion EVA71 among identified species A enteroviruses found 3542 samples from HFMD cases; 125 cases meningitis; and 130 acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) cases. These represent 50%, 54.8%, 51.5%, respectively. According to molecular analysis, 90% were attributed genotype C4 10% B5....
Abstract A nanocomposite based on nanoclay and resol that was modified with cardanol, a natural alkyl phenol, shows improvement for the glass‐fiber‐reinforced epoxy‐composite system. Dispersion of investigated by X‐ray, showing good results obtained in situ polymerization method. The mechanical properties final composites were improved doping 6 wt% cardanol‐modified‐resol (CMR) into epoxy matrix. show 15 CMR is most suitable ratio. Using polyamide as curing agent instead other traditional...
Abstract Objectives Interleukin (IL)-33 is a novel member of pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 family, which plays an important role in the immune response. IL-33 was proved to involve many inflammatory and allergic diseases, thus inhibition this may be promising treatment for these diseases. Arms study were generate mouse soluble receptor fused with human IgG1 Fc domain (msIL33R-Fc) expressed by Pichia pastoris yeast characterize inhibitory activity protein. Methods Clone P. expressing...
The Mekong Delta Region of Vietnam faces increasing dengue risks driven by urbanization, globalization, and climate change. This study introduces a probabilistic forecasting model for predicting incidence outbreaks with one to three month lead times, integrating meteorological, sociodemographic, preventive, epidemiological data. Seventy-two models were evaluated, an ensemble combining top-performing spatiotemporal, supervised PCA, semi-mechanistic hhh4 frameworks was developed. Using data...
Background: Nanocovax is a recombinant severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 subunit vaccine composed of full-length prefusion stabilized SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoproteins (S-2P) and aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. Methods: We conducted dose-escalation, open label trial (phase 1) randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled 2) to evaluate the safety immunogenicity (in 25 microgram (mcg), 50 mcg, 75 mcg doses, adjuvanted). In phase 1, 60 participants received two intramuscular injection...
The epidemiological and etiological aspects of poliomyelitis acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) in Russia Vietnam were analysed compared. polio-free status is maintained on 14 territories 29 provinces South Vietnam. quality virological surveillance for accordance with the requirements national international polio systems. All AFP cases revealed, registered, reported investigated both countries. percentage poliovirus isolation from 2492 samples collected patients contact persons different years...
The purpose of this study is to examine the applicability Korean Graded Readers (KGR) into Language and Culture Integration Education in Vietnam. KGR has attracted great attention from foreign language education researchers, including as a Foreign education, it can reduce literary burden for learners. However, still lacks research on how use teaching practice. In reflection learners’ needs plays crucial role when introducing new learning material. Therefore, discussed direction application...
Background: Children are susceptible to severe or fatal enterovirus 71 (EV71) infections. We evaluated the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of EV71vac, an aluminium phosphate-adjuvanted inactivated EV71 vaccine in children 2 months 5 years old. Methods: conducted a randomised, double-blinded, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial at hospitals Taiwan Vietnam. old were stratified by country age, randomly assigned (1:1) receive two doses EV71vac placebo via intramuscular injection 56 days apart....
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is amongst the most common cancers in world and Vietnam. Most HCC patients are diagnosed late, so effect of treatment limited. Hence, early diagnosis for high-risk populations using medical imaging serum markers very important to control HCC. Recently, α-fetoprotein (AFP) has been popularly used as a marker screening Unfortunately, AFP not trustworthy enough diagnosis, especially Therefore, this study was deployed estimate ability Des-γ carboxy prothrombin...
