ABSTRACT A D‐A 1 ‐A 2 type covalent triazine framework (CTF) was prepared for the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution (HER). In resulting CTF‐CZ‐Bpy 2+ , 9‐ethyl‐9 H ‐carbazole (CZ) group is used as donor, ring first acceptor, and cyclic diquat (Bpy ) moiety second acceptor. Both experimental theoretical results show that structure significantly enhances efficiency of photogenerated charge separation transfer. As a result, demonstrated outstanding HER activity with yield rate 31.1 mmol g −1 h...

The formation of nano-sized Hf2Fe precipitates at grain boundaries through Fe micro-alloying enhances the strength Ti-Zr-Hf-Nb-Ta multi-principal element alloys (MPEAs), but this improvement comes cost reduced ductility. Aging 500 °C for just 30 min resulted in a marked reduction elongation, from 17.5% to 7.5%. This decline is attributed lattice mismatch between and matrix, as well increased stacking stress boundaries. By adjusting composition heat treatment parameters, quantity...

Water treatment using TiO2 semiconductor as a durable heterogeneous photocatalyst has been the focus of environmentalists in recent years. Currently, we developed an inexpensive and highly efficient approach for synthesizing nitrogen-doped with lower band-gap energy that can respond to visible light. Doping on molecular scale led enhanced nitrogen concentration up 21.8%. Reflectance measurements showed synthesized N-doped nanoparticles are catalytically active absorbance extends into region...

The removal of a common azo dye, acid orange 7 (AO7), in biofilm systems was investigated this study. abiotic and biotic fate AO7 examined under variety operating conditions: aerobic nitrification, anoxic denitrification anaerobic digestion. A comparison the performance between activated sludge treatment processes made. adsorption onto matrix flocs found to fit Langmuir equation. However, there is significant difference capacities sludge. recalcitrant both conditions. Under conditions,...

In order to specifically demonstrate the improvement of photocatalytic activity attributed donor‐acceptor (D‐A) structure rather than other contributing factors, two highly comparable COFs incorporating porphyrin and thiophene species are synthesized in this work. The first COF, named BTDA‐Por, is composed (Por) as donor unit 2,2′‐bithiophene (BTDA) acceptor moiety. second referred TT‐Por, constructed using Por thieno[3,2‐b]thiophene (TT) units while lacking a D‐A structure. These serve...

Microelectrode measurements were conducted to obtain nitrate, pH and redox potential profiles within anoxic denitrifying biofilms. The influence of a toxic organic compound (acid orange 7) on biofilm microprofiles was also monitored using microelectrodes. data provide evidence that the biofilms stratified into an layer anaerobic layer. zone might niche for biodegradation recalcitrant compounds in It found acid 7 its byproducts had only slight impact profiles.
