Electron-proton elastic-scattering cross sections have been measured at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center for four-momentum transfers squared ${q}^{ 2}$ from 1.0 to 25.0 ${(\frac{\mathrm{GeV}}{c})}^{2}$. The electric (${G}_{{E}_{p}}$) and magnetic (${G}_{{M}_{p}}$) form factors of proton were not separated, since angular distributions each 2}$. However, values ${G}_{{M}_{p}}$ derived assuming various relations between ${G}_{{E}_{p}}$ ${G}_{{M}_{p}}$. Several theoretical models behavior...

A novel method for long-term recording and simulation applicable to cultured neurons has been developed. Silicon-based microelectrodes have fabricated using integrated-circuit technology micromachining. The chronic connection is made by positioning the tip of 'diving-board electrode' into contact with top cell body. electrode support structure then glued bottom culture dish. Two-way electrical connections Helisoma B19 maintained up four days. This capability makes it possible conduct...

Data are presented on production by 200-GeV/c hadrons incident beryllium of both single particles and jets (groups particles) with high ${p}_{T}$ (transverse momentum). The experiment was performed in a wide-aperture multiparticle spectrometer at Fermilab. jet single-particle cross sections have similar shape from ${p}_{T}=3 \mathrm{to} 5$ GeV/c but the section is over two orders magnitude larger. distributions charged-particle momenta show striking similarities to those observed...

Differential cross sections for the reactions $\overline{p}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and $\overline{p}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ have been measured in angular region $0.65\ensuremath{\lesssim}|{cos\ensuremath{\theta}}_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.}|<1.0$ at 13 momenta between 0.7 2.4 GeV/c. This is a report on measurement of pp elastic scattering for 30° ≤ 0 c.m. 90° and incident momenta between 1.0 2.50 BeV/c. In the past rather extensive counter measurements(1) this cross section have been made at high energies low momentum transfers, but little data exist large transfer. The hydrogen bubble chambers(2,3) produced 3.0 4.0 BeV/c, number events transfer limited statistical accuracy poor.

Evaluation of policies in recommender systems typically involves A/B testing using live experiments on real users to assess a new policy's impact relevant metrics. This ``gold standard'' comes at high cost, however, terms cycle time, user and potential retention. In developing for ``onboarding'' users, these costs can be especially problematic, since on-boarding occurs only once. this work, we describe simulation methodology used augment (and reduce) the use experiments.
