Abstract The geometry and waveforms of optically compensated bend cells are optimized for field‐sequential color microdisplay applications. A unique software package based employing D. W. Berreman's modeling as a calculation engine is used to determine the critical voltages, dynamics optics reflective cell microdisplays. configuration features an on‐off time less than 2 ms 4 micron cell, fully compatible with existing electronics.
