The integration of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning models, has transformed the landscape medical technology, especially in field diagnosis using imaging and physiological data. In otolaryngology, AI shown promise image classification for middle ear diseases. However, existing models often lack patient-specific data clinical context, limiting their universal applicability. emergence GPT-4 Vision (GPT-4V) enabled a multimodal diagnostic approach, integrating language...

Objectives To investigate the characteristics of outpatients in pediatric otolaryngology department a tertiary Japanese hospital before and during COVID-19 pandemic. Methods In this retrospective study conducted at center Japan, patients aged 0–15 years who visited between 2017 2022 were included. The number was compared pandemic (January 2017–December 2022) by year, age, sex, disease for which patient examined. Additionally, diseases that most substantially contributed to change outpatient...

Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare mesenchymal that sometimes encountered in the field of otolaryngology. SFT classified as an 'intermediate' (rarely metastasizing) 2020 WHO classification FIBROBLASTIC/MYOFIBROBLASTIC TUMOURS. It has been reported embolization required prior to surgery because high blood flow these tumors. In addition, postoperative recurrence also cases pleural primary tumors, underscoring importance preoperative diagnosis and careful observation. case herein, patient...

Abstract In acute aminoglycoside ototoxicity to unilateral inner ear, physical abnormalities, such as nystagmus and postural alteration, are relieved within a few days by neural compensation. To examine exploratory behavior over an extended period, freely moving of mouse after kanamycin injection was recorded in home-cage environment. A tail excluded from deep learning-mediated object detection because its delayed movement relative the body. All results were confirmed convolutional network...

In a rodent model of acute aminoglycoside ototoxicity to unilateral inner ear, physical abnormalities, such as nystagmus and postural alteration, are relieved within few days by neural compensation. However, how exploratory behavior changes after ototoxic damage in home-cage environment mice have not yet been elucidated. this study, kanamycin-induced ear injury was examined cage with wood-shavings natural bedding. To end, we developed machine learning robust detection for evaluation drug...
