Myoblast differentiation is indispensable for skeletal muscle formation and governed by the precisely coordinated regulation of a series transcription factors, including MyoD myogenin, transcriptional coregulators. TAZ (transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif) has been characterized as modulator mesenchymal stem cell into osteoblasts adipocytes through its lineage-specific master factors. In this study, we investigated whether affects myoblast differentiation, which one...

Background: Endothelial dysfunction is a systemic disorder and involved in the pathogenesis of several human diseases.Hemodynamic shear stress plays an important role vascular homeostasis including nitric oxide (NO) production.Impairment NO production endothelial cells stimulates capillarization liver sinusoidal cells, followed by hepatic stellate cell activation, inducing fibrosis. However, detailed mechanism underlying not well understood. In hepatocytes, transcriptional co-activator with...

Abstract Mitochondria are energy-generating organelles and mitochondrial biogenesis is stimulated to meet energy requirements in response extracellular stimuli, including exercise. However, the mechanisms underlying remain unknown. Here, we demonstrate that transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ) stimulates skeletal muscle. In muscle-specific TAZ-knockout (mKO) mice, biogenesis, respiratory metabolism, exercise ability were decreased compared wild-type mice. Mechanistically,...

In response to liver injury, the undergoes a regeneration process retain its mass and function. However, mechanism has not been fully clarified. This study investigated role of transcriptional coactivator with PDZ-binding motif (TAZ), Hippo-signaling effector, in regeneration. We observed that TAZ stimulates after injury. After partial hepatectomy (PHx) or carbon tetrachloride damage, was required for increase hepatic cell proliferation resist apoptosis, which were decreased liver-specific...

Deep learning models that require vast amounts of training data struggle to achieve good animal sound classification (ASC) performance. Among recent few-shot ASC methods address the shortage problem regarding animals are difficult observe, model-agnostic meta-learning (MAML) has shown new possibilities by encoding common prior knowledge derived from different tasks into model parameter initialization target tasks. However, when on sounds is generalize due its diversity, MAML exhibits poor...

A nanoscale artificial extracellular matrix (nanoshell) formed by layer-by-layer adsorption can enhance and modulate the function of stem cells transferring biochemical stimulus to cell directly. Here, nanoshell composed fibronectin (FN) chondroitin sulfate (CS) is demonstrated promote chondrogenic differentiation mesenchymal (MSCs). The multilayer structure repeating self-assembly FN CS, its thickness be controlled through number layers. expression markers in MSCs coated with FN/CS was...

Abstract Chronic liver injury follows inflammation and fibrosis; however, the molecular mechanism underlying fibrosis has not been fully elucidated. In this study, role of ductal WW domain‐containing transcription regulator 1 (WWTR1)/transcriptional coactivator with PDZ‐binding motif (TAZ) was investigated after injury. Ductal TAZ‐knockout (DKO) mice showed decreased following a Diethyl 1,4‐dihydro‐2,4,6‐trimethyl‐3,5‐pyridinedicarboxylate (DDC) diet compared to wild‐type (WT) mice, as...
