This paper reports a high-resolution isotopic study of medieval horse mobility, revealing their origins and in-life mobility both regionally internationally. The animals were found in an unusual cemetery site within the City Westminster, London, England. SUMMARYSUMMARYExcavations at two adjacent sites in Elverton Street, Westminster, uncovered evidence for an extensive late medieval and Tudor horse burial ground. In all 197 pits were found cut into natural sand.
