Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is an autosomal dominant multisystemic disorder caused by the expansion of a CTG-triplet repeat in 3′ untranslated region dystrophia myotonica protein kinase ( DMPK ) gene. It results transcription toxic RNAs that contain expanded CUG repeats (CUG exp ). Splicing factors, such as muscleblind-like (MBNL1), are sequestered , thereby disrupting normal splicing program essential for various cellular functions. Pentatricopeptide (PPR) proteins, originally found...

Loss of the nucleus is a critical step in keratinocyte terminal differentiation. To elucidate mechanisms involved, we focused on two characteristic events: nuclear translocation N-terminal fragment profilaggrin and caspase-14-dependent degradation inhibitor caspase-activated DNase (ICAD). First, demonstrated that epidermal mesotrypsin liberated 55-kDa (FLG-N) FLG-N was translocated into nucleus. Interestingly, these cells became TUNEL positive. Mutation mesotrypsin-susceptible Arg-rich...

Background: Past studies have analyzed individual jobs in dyestuff factories, materials manufactured and handled, age at exposure, the duration of exposure factories as factors related to occurrence urothelial tumors. None these was based on long‐term observation, involved tumors remain controversial. In this study, various that may affect dye workers were assessed by multivariate analysis. Methods: Three hundred sixty‐three nine member Dyestuff Industrial Cooperative associated included...

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) visualization of metallic stent lumens is possible if the structure counteracts eddy currents in lumen induced by radio frequency magnetic field, B(1). To examine effectiveness various designs counteracting currents, we anchored eight copper models and 2 commercially available nickel-titanium alloy (Nitinol) stents a gel phantom, perpendicular or parallel to direction A mesh showed hypointensity irrespective its alignment relative solenoid with axis B(1), but...

In the dopamine transporter scintigraphy there are two quantitative analysis softwares, DaTView and DaTQUANT. The value of both software has to be treated independently because is a difference between them in point how set region interest on striatum background, calculation formula quantitation. And also DaTQUANT capability performing anatomical standardization which does not have. aim this study was evaluate accuracy registration using phantom, correlation values clinical data. As result,...

Purpose: This study aimed to verify the resolution recovery for each collimator in brain perfusion image. Method: To effect of collimator, we evaluated via three-dimensional phantom (phantom) and normal single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) data. These data were reconstructed using ordered subset expectation maximization method (3D-OSEM) (Evolution boneTM) that was performed with scatter correction, attenuation (RR). The performance two systems (ELEGP MEGP) reconstruction...

The discovery of NM530c with a cadmium-zinc-telluride detector (CdZnTe-SPECT) is superior to the conventional Anger-type SPECT sodium-iodide (NaI-SPECT) in terms sensitivity and spatial resolution. However, clinical example, even CdZnTe-SPECT, count decrease myocardium due attenuation gamma ray an issue. This study was conducted evaluate effect computed tomography correction (CTAC) CdZnTe-SPECT help external CT. We evaluated revision uniformity, influence by difference distance, contrast...

In proton density-weighted (PDW) MR imaging, the patterns of signal intensity vary depending on imaged material, and change with flip angle (FA) applied to material. The correlation between pre-determined FA actual objects was investigated using 4 types phantoms having different dielectric properties. PDW images were acquired spin-echo (SE) method FA. Dependency distribution in phantom differed among phantoms: for water 0.402 w/w% saline solution changed FA, whereas those olive oil 4.02...
