Inclusion complex formation between polyaniline with emeraldine base and β-cyclodextrin has been studied by the frequency-domain electric birefringence (FEB) spectroscopy in a solution of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The FEB results show that cyclodextrin changes its conformation from coil to rod at low temperature (below 275 K), some rodlike images are observed on substrate STM. These suggest cyclodextrins threaded onto confine polymer chain one....

Various methods of thermogravimetric analysis were compared in case polystyrene degradation. The reaction order, the activation energy and preexponential factor evaluated from common TG curves experimentally obtained. In most cases a 5-mg sample with 110,000 molecular weight was decomposed at heating rate 10°C/min. found under this experimental condition to be first order 61.0 kcal/mole, though there slight differences depending on analytical used.

The insulation effect of an inclusion complex formed by polyaniline with emeraldine base as a conducting polymer and β-cyclodextrin insulators cyclic form has been studied using the oxidation iodine in solution N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone. When is oxidized solution, color changes from blue to violet. We observed little change at 273 K or considerable delay spectral 288 contrast that without β-cyclodextrin. This suggests conjugated almost completely insulated threaded cyclodextrin molecules...

Lanthanoid (Ln)-doped aluminum nitride (AlN) semiconductors are one candidate for optoelectric devices and single photon sources, although their optical properties less understood. We clarify the room temperature of Ln ion implanted crystal AlN changes upon thermal annealing by up to 1700 °C. Photoluminescence (PL), cathodoluminescence (CL), time-resolved PL praseodymium (Pr), europium (Eu), neodymium (Nd) analyzed. Recovery implantation induced damages diffusion ions also investigated. The unique electronic and steric features of di(9-anthryl)carbene result in the formation a surprisingly stable trimeric product (see picture). trimer, which neighboring anthracene groups are arranged staggered so as to reduce congestion, forms by coupling at 10 10′ positions, unpaired electrons mainly localized.

The in situ adsorption behavior of coumarin, a widely used inhibitor nickel electrodeposition, onto concaved substrate water under an electric field was studied using atomic force microscopy (AFM). AFM images showed that field, coumarin adsorbs more preferentially on the edge concavity than its inside, while preferential bias not observed without field. These results suggest profiled is driven by rather conventionally suggested convective diffusion effect.

Abstract This paper reports on the authors’ latest parabolic-flight experiments (November 1996) of spray cooling. Water and FC-72 (perfluorocarbon) were employed alternately as a test liquid sprayed from single full-cone nozzle onto Cr-plated surface an electrically heated copper block (transient cooling experiments) or transparent In2O3-coated glass (steady state in relatively low superheat region). Each experimental run was accomplished during some 15 seconds through which reduced gravity...
