<title>Abstract</title> Trees mitigate urban heat, but the extent of cooling, particularly for air temperature, remains uncertain. Many studies report strong cooling using satellite-derived land surface temperature (LST), this metric overestimates relevant to human health and comfort. Additionally, such often rely on single-variable, canopy-only models moderate resolution data that has not been validated in densely built-up areas. These modeling issues may further inflate estimates tree...

Abstract Background Retinoic acid (RA) is a synthetic vitamin derivative. It exerts toxic and teratogenic effects on the development of embryonic organs in dose‐ time‐dependent manners mice. Curcumin compound obtained from rhizomes turmeric ( Curcuma longa ) has protective agents. The current study examined curcumin embryos treated with RA. Methods A total 24 female NMRI mice (8‐week‐old pregnant mice) were investigated study. All them for 10 days during 15 to 50 pregnancy. In first group,...

Retinoic acid (RA) plays a key role in pattern formation along the major body axis and limbformation during vertebrate development. Exposure to excessive retinoic (in uterus) generatescongenital malformations limbs, craniofacial, CNS, urogenital, heart, axial skeletons. In thesestudies, seven groups of NMRI pregnant mice were administered single gavage dose 100 mg /kgbody weight; All-trans-retinoic dissolved DMSO at days 9, 10, 11 gestation (groups 2, 4,6), 1, 3, 5) left (control group)...

Abstract In this study we report a naturally evolved temperature-sensing electrical regulator in the cytochrome c oxidase of Devil Worm, Halicephalobus mephisto. This extremophile metazoan was isolated 1.3 km underground South African goldmine, where it adapted to heat and potentially hypoxia, making its mitochondrial sequence likely target adaptational change. We obtained full genome organism, show through dN/dS analysis statistically robust evidence positive selection H. mephisto subunits....
