Abstract The olfactory function of 6 patients whose parkinsonism was the result intravenous administration 1‐methyl‐4‐phenyl‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) compared to that 12 age‐matched with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (PD) and 10 normal control subjects. Unlike their PD counterparts, test scores MPTP‐induced parkinsonism, did not differ significantly from those These findings suggest MPTP induced unlike PD, is unaccompanied, on average, by major alterations in ability smell.
Multicolor flow cytometry (MFC) is crucial in detecting occult or minimal bone marrow (BM) involvement by non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL), which may not be detected using trephine biopsy imaging studies. Detection of low-level BM can challenging without definite immunophenotypic aberrancies. We studied the utility CD305 MFC detection B-NHL, especially absence aberrancies commonly used markers. The study included 1084 consecutive samples submitted for staging B-NHLs (excluding CLL) over two...
Topic: 6. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and related disorders - Clinical Background: Staging of B NHLs is crucial as it provides definitive evidence stage disease important for making a decision regarding treatment strategy. Bone marrow involvement vital part staging B-NHL. We hypothesized that CD305, also known LAIR1 (leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor-1), robust marker detecting occult bone involvement. LAIR expression varies during various stages cell differentiation. Aims: To study...
Background: Low grade myofibroblastic sarcoma of breast are rare tumors myofibroblasts that arise from a pre-existing fibroadenoma or vascular pericytes.Case Presentation -A 22 year old married woman presented with slow growing right lump which on mammography mimicked galactocele but histopathological examination revealed to be low arising fibroadenoma. Conclusion:The tumor was diagnosed as sarcoma.
