In the present study, a carbon dot/hemoglobin (CD/Hb) complex is used as bio-receptor in an optical cholesterol biosensor.
We provide a new method to source fatty alcohols from poly(ethylene) (PE) pyrolysis oil. To this end, we have developed one-pot process obtain mixture of long chain alkenes and alkanes (C10–C20) that is obtained pyrolyzed PE.
