We have used a neuraminidase-deficient influenza virus, NWS-Mvi, which was selected by supplying bacterial neuraminidase in the medium (C. Liu and G. M. Air, Virology 194:403-407, 1993), to define role of virus replication. Electron microscopy showed that virions NWS-Mvi mutant assembled normally formed large aggregates associated with cell surfaces. The grown absence able carry out second round replication MDCK cells without added neuraminidase, indicating particles contained these were...

Ligation of the Fas cell-surface molecule induces apoptosis. Defective Fas-mediated apoptosis has been associated with spontaneous autoimmunity in mice. Using human Fas/Apo-1 cDNA as a probe, we have molecularly cloned and characterized chromosomal gene. The gene consists nine exons spans more than 26 kilobases DNA. lengths introns vary from > 14 at 5' end to 152 base pairs upstream exon encoding transmembrane domain. domain structure is encoded by an or set exons. Primer extension analysis...

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a complex problem in modern medicine. Fibroblast activation and fibroscarring after SCI impede nerve recovery. Non-coding RNA plays an important role the progression of many diseases, but study its spinal fibrosis still emerging. Here, we investigated function circular RNAs, specifically antisense to cerebellar degeneration-related protein 1 (CDR1as), characterized molecular mechanism pathophysiology. The presence CDR1as was verified by sequencing expression...

Our aim in this study is to identify the core genes of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and analyze correlations between it inflammation-related genes. GSE72713 dataset containing gene expression data ECRSwNP, nonECRSwNP healthy samples was obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) filtered by limma DEGs among three groups, then functions correlated pathways were analyzed using GO KEGG. The selected intersection PPI network constructed via STRING. levels CRSwNP Mann-Whitney U test....
