Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is a leading cause of general surgery inpatient admissions. SBO most commonly associated with postoperative adhesions; however, neoplastic an important differential. Here, we present case secondary to leiomyosarcoma in patient known mature B cell lymphoma. This highlights the importance avoiding early diagnostic closure and adherence oncological principles resection for small tumours.

Ethylene polymerisation productivities of tris(pyrazolyl)methane-supported catalysts [Ti(NR){HC(Me2pz)3}Cl2] show a dramatically different dependence on the imido R-group compared to those their TACN analogues, attributed differences in fac-N3 donor topology; when treated with AliBu3, zwitterionic tris(pyrazolyl)methide compound [Ti(N-2-C6H4tBu){C(Me2pz)3}Cl(THF)] also acts as highly active, single site catalyst (TACN = 1,4,7-trimethyltriazacyclononane).

A family of ca. 50 imidotitanium precatalysts [Ti(NR)(Me(3)[9]aneN(3))Cl(2)](R = alkyl or aryl; Me(3)[9]aneN(3)= 1,4,7-trimethyltriazacyclononane) were prepared in good yields using semi-automated procedures; high-throughput screening techniques identified seven highly active ethylene polymerisation with activities the range 3 400 to 10 000 kg(PE) mol(-1) h(-1) bar(-1).

Reactions of Ti(NMe2)2Cl2 with a wide range primary alkyl and arylamines RNH2 afforded the corresponding 5-coordinate imido titanium compounds Ti(NR)Cl2(NHMe2)2 (R = tBu (1), iPr (2), CH2Ph (3), Ph (4), 2,6-C6H3Me2 (5), 2,6-C6H3iPr2 (6), 2,4,6-C6H2F3 (7), 2,3,5,6-C6HF4 (8), C6F5 (9), 4-C6H4Cl (10), 2,3,5,6-C6HCl4 (11), 2-C6H4CF3 (12), 2-C6H4tBu (13)). The 1−13 are monomeric in solution but solid state form either N−H···Cl hydrogen bonded dimers or chains perfluorophenyl π-stacked chains,...

Thin films have been formed on glass by low pressure chemical vapour deposition from eleven closely related single-source precursors of generic form [TiCl2(NR)(L)x] (where x = 1, L tridentate N-ligand; 2, 3, monodentate N-ligand). Most the titanium nitride films, however, bulkier imido complexes and those with chelating ligands tended to produce thin significant oxygen carbon contamination, suggesting incomplete decomposition post reaction oxidation. The best precursor was found be...

A comprehensive account of the synthesis, properties, and evaluation a wide range ethylene homopolymerization catalysts derived from imido titanium compounds supported by triazacyclic ligands Me3[9]aneN3 R3[6]aneN3 is described (Me3[9]aneN3 = 1,4,7-trimethyltriazacyclononane; 1,3,5-trimethyl- or 1,3,5-tris(n-dodecyl)triazacyclohexane). Conventional preparative-scale reactions afforded triazacycle-supported Ti(NR)(Me3[9]aneN3)Cl2 (R tBu (1), 2,6-C6H3Me2, 2,6-C6H3iPr2, Ph, C6F5, CH2Ph (6))....

We describe a data analysis method for extended x-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy suitable use with compounds of diverse form that contain overlapping edges. This employs direct concurrent the data---demonstrated here cases involving two interfering metal edges---and does not utilize subtractive or filtering strategies have been previously used to address this challenge. Its generality and precision are demonstrated in analyses made on model nanoscale samples: (1) Ir-Pt...

Abstract Endosalpingiosis a condition of ectopic glandular epithelium diagnosed histologically, most commonly on pelvic and abdominal peritoneum, that can be associated with pain mimicking appendicitis. There is evidence emerging endosalpingiosis may serous ovarian malignancies. Here we describe case perforated appendicitis concurrent endosalpingiosis. Further research required to better elucidate the association between malignancy, implications presentation hollow viscus perforation.
