開業後48年が経過した東海道新幹線のRC構造物は,これまで適正に維持管理が実施されている。しかしながら,継続的な実態調査の結果,2000年から実施されている中性化抑止のための表面保護工の一部の部位には,列車通過に伴う繰返し荷重によりひび割れが再発生しており,経年による中性化の進行が懸念される。大動脈である東海道新幹線のRC構造物を将来にわたり健全に維持するため,これまで抜本的な中性化対策の技術開発に取り組んできた。今回維持・強化対策として,新たな全断面修復工法(鋼板巻き)を開発したので,その実験,解析内容,ならびに本線での施工結果と構造形式の検討内容について報告する。
