IL-4 and IL-13 have non-redundant effects in olfaction, with loss of smell mice evoked only by intranasal administration IL-4, but not IL-13. IL-4-evoked pathophysiological on olfaction is independent compromised structural integrity the olfactory neuroepithelium. IL-4-IL-4Rα signaling modulates neuronal crosstalk immune cells, suggesting a functional link between impairment neuroinflammation. Abbreviations: IL, interleukin; KO, knock-out; wk, week; WT, wild-type.
Abstract Ocular surface diseases, including conjunctivitis, are recognized as a common comorbidity in atopic dermatitis (AD) and also occur at an increased frequency AD patients treated with biologics targeting interleukin-4 receptor alpha (IL-4Ra) or IL-13. However, the inflammatory mechanisms underlying this pathology unknown. Here, we developed novel mouse model of skin inflammation-evoked conjunctivitis showed that it is dependent on CD4 + T cells basophils. Blockade IL-4Ra partially...
