A new phenolic hydroxyl modified polystyrene adsorbent (AM-1) was synthesized for the removal of compounds from their aqueous solutions. This can be used directly without wetting pretreatment. comparison sorption properties AM-1 and commercial Amberlite XAD-4 toward four compounds, phenol, p-cresol, p-chlorophenol, p-nitrophenol, made. The capacities equilibrium adsorption all were around two times higher than that XAD-4, which may contributed to presence phenol group on surface unique pore...

Abstract An aminated hypercrosslinked polymeric resin AH‐1, a macroporous NG‐8 and its derivative NG‐9 were used for the adsorption of tannic acid from aqueous solution. The batch system was applied to study equilibrium on three adsorbents. Equilibrium data obtained fitted very well Langmuir model. results showed that pore size distribution tertiary amino group polymer played significant role in performance, highest capacity due suitable presence group. In addition, thermodynamic carried out...

Using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) crosslinked with glutaric dialdehyde (c-PVA) as matrix and activated carbon (AC) or polyacrylic acid (PAA) the adsorptive constituent, large beads of c-PVA-AC c-PVA-PAA composites were prepared via sedimentation polymerization method. In this method, an aqueous solution PVA, dialdehyde, a catalyst for crosslinking (hydrochloric acid), containing precursors was injected dropwise syringe into hot mineral oil (about 80–90°C) located in cylindrical reactor fit...

Our Eulerian (LBRMT) couples finite-strain to the LB fluid on same fixed computational grid with reference map technique (RMT). An integral part of LBRMT is new boundary condition moving interfaces across different densities. With this fully solid--fluid coupling, well-suited parallelization...

Detecting heavy hitters that constitute the majority of network traffic is a critical task in measurement. However, highly skewed and size-limited on-chip memory pose great challenges for heavy-hitter detection.
