The photoproduction of $\ensuremath{\omega}$ mesons on nuclei has been investigated using the Crystal Barrel/TAPS experiment at ELSA tagged photon facility in Bonn. aim is to study possible in-medium modifications meson via reaction $\ensuremath{\gamma}+A\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}+X\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}\ensuremath{\gamma}+{X}^{\ensuremath{'}}$. Results obtained for Nb are compared a reference measurement ${\mathrm{LH}}_{2}$ target. While recoiling,...
Total and differential cross sections for η η′photoproduction off the proton have been determined with CBELSA/TAPS detector photon energies between 0.85 2.55 GeV. The mesons are detected in their two neutral decay modes, η→γγ η→3π0→6γ, first time, cover full angular range cosθc.m. of meson. These new photoproduction data consistent earlier CB-ELSA results. η′ observed to π0π0η→6γ also extend coverage range.8 MoreReceived 8 September 2009DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.80.055202©2009...
Information on hadron properties in the nuclear medium has been derived from photoproduction of $\ensuremath{\omega}$ mesons nuclei C, Ca, Nb, and Pb using Crystal Barrel/TAPS detector at ELSA tagged photon facility Bonn. The dependence $\ensuremath{\omega}$-meson cross section mass number compared with three different types models: a Glauber analysis, Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck analysis Giessen theory group, calculation by Valencia group. In all cases, inelastic width is found to be...
Quasifree photoproduction of eta mesons off nucleons bound in the deuteron has been measured with CBELSA/TAPS detector for incident photon energies up to 2.5 GeV at Bonn ELSA accelerator. The have detected coincidence recoil protons and neutrons, which allows a detailed comparison quasifree n(gamma, eta)n p(gamma, eta)p reactions. excitation function production neutron shows pronounced bumplike structure W=1.68 (E{gamma} approximately 1 GeV), is absent proton.
The photoproduction of \eta'-mesons off different nuclei has been measured with the CBELSA/TAPS detector system for incident photon energies between 1500 - 2200 MeV. transparency ratio deduced and compared to theoretical calculations describing propagation in nuclei. comparison indicates a width \eta' -meson order \Gamma= 15-25 MeV at \rho =\rho_0 an average momentum p_{\eta'} = 1050 MeV/c, which \eta'-meson is produced nuclear rest frame. inelastic N cross section estimated be 3 10 mb....
The γ+p→K0+Σ+ photoproduction reaction is investigated in the energy region from threshold to Eγ=2250 MeV. differential cross section exhibits increasing forward-peaking with energy, but only up K⁎ threshold. Beyond, it suddenly returns a flat distribution forward dropping by factor of four. In total pronounced structure observed between K⁎Λ and K⁎Σ thresholds.
The first measurement is reported of the double-polarization observable G in photoproduction neutral pions off protons, covering photon energy range from 620 to 1120 MeV and full solid angle. describes correlation between polarization plane scattering for protons polarized along direction incoming photon. highly sensitive contributions baryon resonances. new results are compared predictions SAID, MAID, BnGa partial wave analyses. In spite long-lasting efforts understand γp→pπ0 as simplest...
A novel method is proposed to measure eta'(958) meson bound states in 11C nuclei by missing mass spectroscopy of the 12C(p,d) reaction near eta' production threshold. It shown that peak structures will be observed experimentally an inclusive measurement case in-medium reduction sufficiently large and decay width mesic narrow enough. Such a feasible with intense proton beam supplied SIS synchrotron at GSI combined good energy resolution fragment separator FRS.
The first measurement of the helicity dependence photoproduction cross section single neutral pions off protons is reported for photon energies from 600 to 2300 MeV, covering nearly full solid angle. data are compared predictions SAID, MAID, and BnGa partial wave analyses. Strikingly large differences between observed, which traced in amplitudes well-known established resonances. Precise values several resonances reported.
Excitation spectra of $^{11}\mathrm{C}$ are measured in the $^{12}\mathrm{C}(p,d)$ reaction near ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ emission threshold. A proton beam extracted from synchrotron SIS-18 at GSI with an incident energy 2.5 GeV impinges on a carbon target. The momenta deuterons emitted 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} precisely fragment separator (FRS) operated as spectrometer. In contrast to theoretical predictions possible existence deeply bound...
The differential cross sections and unpolarized spin-density matrix elements for the reaction γp→pω were measured using CBELSA/TAPS experiment initial photon energies ranging from threshold to 2.5 GeV. These observables radiative decay of ω meson, ω→π0γ. cover full angular range show extent t-channel forward rise. overall shape distributions in are fair agreement with previous data. In addition, first time, a beam linearly-polarized tagged photons energy 1150 MeV 1650 was used extract...
Quasi-free photoproduction of $\eta '$ mesons off nucleons bound in the deuteron has been measured with combined Crystal Barrel - TAPS detector. The experiment was done at a tagged photon beam ELSA electron accelerator Bonn for incident energies from production threshold up to 2.5 GeV. '$-mesons have detected coincidence recoil protons and neutrons. quasi-free proton data are good agreement results free protons, indicating that nuclear effects no significant impact. neutrons provides first...
Data on the photoproduction of $\ensuremath{\omega}$ mesons nuclei have been reanalyzed in a search for in-medium modifications. The data were taken with crystal barrel (CB)/two-arm photon spectrometer (TAPS) detector system at ELectron Stretcher Anlage (ELSA) accelerator facility Bonn. First results from analysis set published by Trnka et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 94, 192303 (2005)], claiming lowering mass nuclear medium 14$%$ normal matter density. extracted line shape was found to be...
