The excitation function and momentum distribution of ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ mesons have been measured in photoproduction off $^{93}\mathrm{Nb}$ the energy range 1.2--2.9 GeV. experiment has performed with combined Crystal Barrel MiniTAPS detector system, using tagged photon beams from ELSA electron accelerator. Information on sign magnitude real part ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$-Nb potential extracted a comparison data model calculations. An attractive...
Measured cross sections for the production of PET isotopes [Formula: see text], text] and from carbon oxygen targets induced by protons (40-220 text]) ions (65-430 are presented. These data were obtained via activation measurements irradiated graphite beryllium oxide using a set three scintillators coupled coincidence logic. The measured relevant particle range verification method where accurate predictions emitter distribution produced therapeutic beams in patient tissue required. presented...
This document presents the technical layout and envisaged performance of Electromagnetic Calorimeter (EMC) for PANDA target spectrometer. The EMC has been designed to meet physics goals experiment, which is being developed Facility Antiproton Ion Research (FAIR) at Darmstadt, Germany. figures are based on extensive prototype tests radiation hardness studies. shows that ready construction up front-end electronics interface.

Detector systems based on inorganic heavy scintillator materials are limited in their performance due to severe radiation damage caused by hadrons. The present paper investigates a series of medium crystalline and glass ceramic samples using 150 MeV protons for irradiation studies. New materials, such as DSB:Ce show very promising features.
The application of crystalline materials in ionizing radiation detectors has played a crucial role the discovery properties matter. However, experiences gathered at high intensity machines such as LHC have indicated their limitations and underlined requirements for being more tolerable to damage particular caused by energetic hadrons. Systematic studies hardness inorganic optical scintillation propose both oxide fluoride crystals composed atoms with atomic numbers below 60. In this study we...
Meson photoproduction is a key tool for the experimental investigation of nucleon excitation spectrum. To disentangle specific couplings resonances, in addition to rather well measured pion and eta channels it mandatory obtain information on involving strange vector mesons higher mass pseudoscalar mesons, associated multi-particle final states with both charged neutral particles. In this respect, new BGO-OD experiment at ELSA accelerator University Bonn's Physikalisches Institut provides...
