In this study, the concept of functional traits was used to classify zooplankton into groups and their seasonal dynamics were determined in relation physico-chemical factors a highly turbid nutrient-rich wetland. This study revealed variation both biomass groups. Water temperature (TEP), total phosphorus (TP), ferrous ion (Fe2+) carbon (TC) significantly higher summer while water transparency (SD) notably spring. Zooplankton group (5.11 mg/L) followed by winter, autumn spring (0.91, 0.72...
In this study, the concept of phytoplankton functional groups was used to assess community structure in an attempt better understand their spatial and seasonal variation extremely alkaline Dali Nur Lake. Samples were collected for analysis during spring, summer autumn a period two years. We identified 13 (Lo, S1, H1, P, C, MP, X3, Y, X2, W1, J, F, T) among 37 species out which 7 Lo, F dominant. The biomass Lake exhibited strong with highest value observed lowest spring. Functional C dominant...
The concept of phytoplankton functional groups was used to assess community structure in an attempt better understand their spatial and seasonal variation Lake Okeechobee, USA. Samples were collected for analyses during summer winter. 23 identified among 102 species, which 9 (H1, M, C, MP, Y, S1, J, X1 X2) categorized as dominant. Y represented by Cryptomonas ovate H1, Anabaena circinalis variabilis, dominant some sites corresponding higher temperatures. In winter, the biomass dominated...
In this study, the concept of functional feeding groups was used to classify and model seasonal variation zooplankton in relation environmental variables. A total 48 species were observed reservoir grouped into 8 groups. Both variable biomass vary spatially seasonally. Water temperature, water transparency, nitrogen nitrates significantly higher summer, while chlorophyll- a ammonium autumn spring, respectively. Biomass summer (245.81 μg/L), followed by (196.54 μg/L) spring (54.25 μg/L)....
In this study, the concept of functional groups was applied for first time to seasonal dynamics phytoplankton community Mudanjiang River (northeast China). The environmental variables as well communities were determined in 2007. river showed strong fluctuations water physical and chemical condition. A total 11 (C, D, E, J, MP, P, T, TB, W1, X2 Y) identified that included 30 species. Groups C (Asterionella formosa Cyclotella meneghiniana), MP (Cocconeis placentula, Cymatopleara solea, Diatoma...
The debates about the extent to which phytoplankton in freshwater ecosystems are regulated by top-down or bottom-up forces have been ongoing for decades. This study examines effects of and factors on functional groups a eutrophic lake. Phytoplankton zooplankton were sampled physical-chemical variables measured from May 2019 October Lake Hulun, China. Approximately 43 species observed grouped into 23 groups. For zooplankton, 27 classified 8 revealed that some was stronger than zooplankton....
The present study was carried out in the biggest tributary of Ussuri River boundary between China and Russia. Muling basin has undergone a long-term dredging works, waterbody became seriously turbid. succession phytoplankton functional groups environmental factors river were sampled 2015. We totally identified 83 species, belonging to 17 which 5 predominant, including group F, M, MP, P Y. seasonal M/P-F/MP/P-MP/P. Results Spearman correlation analysis canonical correspondence (CCA) revealed...
We describe a new species of Mallomonas, M. asymmetrica sp. nov., belonging to the class Synurophyceae, was found in acidic clear water, an oligotrophic water body, located National Wetland Preserve Zhenbaodao, Heilongjiang, China. asymmetrica, I would suggest raise section for this species, but need more data (e.g. molecular data) is available. Scales are highly asymmetric, with one lateral edge V-rib being much longer than other, and anterior flanges both body scales rear showed row...
In order to determine the spatial and temporal relationship between environmental factors zooplankton functional groups in Harbin section of Songhua River, China, we collected water samples separately at 6 sampling sites spring, summer autumn 2012.In this study, a total 26 species were from belonging groups. Both biomass exhibited seasonal differences.Water temperature (WT), chemical oxygen demand (CODcr), phosphorus (TP), nitrate (NO 3-) dissolved iron (Fe 3+ ) significantly higher summer.On...
A new species of tardigrade, Crenubiotus liangshuiensis sp. nov. (Eutardigrada: Parachela: Macrobiotoidea: Adorybiotidae), was identified by combining DNA barcoding and classical morphological analyses (including both light contrast microscopy scanning electron microscopy) animals an egg found in moss Collected Yichun Liangshui National Nature Reserve. Moreover, nucleotide sequences the 18S rRNA COI markers from used to analyse diversity local tardigrade fauna indicated presence at least 16...
This paper aims to characterize the community structure of phytoplankton in cold water region with different degrees human impact northeast part China. Diatoms are dominant species without disturbance all year round; low discharge, Cyanophyta, Cryptophyta and Euglenophyta increased spring winter disturbance. Compare tropical region, biomass diatom is absolutely region.
Length–weight relationships (LWRs) are presented for four endemic fish species caught in the upper Yalu River during yearly surveys (2017) by either electrofishing or cage net (5 mm mesh size) as soon ice melted. The parameter b ranged between 2.244 Gobio macrocephalus and 3.428 Ladislavia taczanowskii. Additionally, a 0.004 Misgurnus bipartitus 0.059 macrocephalus. All length-weight were highly significant (r2 ≥ 0.8754) on log scale.
