In this retrospective review of cases clinical proctitis, we identified the frequency common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among men who have sex with on basis reports from municipal STD clinic in San Francisco. Of note, gonorrhea and chlamydia were most STDs, followed by herpes syphilis. Current treatment guidelines recommend empiric for chlamydia, but should also be considered.
