Junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET) is a rare form of arrhythmia that most commonly seen during infancy. JET continuous and incessant, characterized by persistently high heart rates may result in impaired cardiac function tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy. Despite the availability multiple antiarrhythmic treatments, including flecainide amiodarone, management generally very difficult. Catheter ablation has risk atrioventricular block it require placement pacemaker. Ivabradine, also known...

Therefore, we aimed to characterize electrocardiographic electrophysiologic of DEX children.Twenty children (11 boys nine girls) between ages eight 17 undergoing electrophysiology study ablation supraventricular tachycardia had hemodynamic variables...
We evaluated the preoperative, operative and postoperative risk factors affecting early mortality in patients who underwent total correction of tetralogy Fallot (TOF).One hundred twenty-two TOF reparative surgery between January 2010 November 2013 were enrolled study.Mean patient age weight was 2.3 ± 2.5 years 11.3 6.4 kg, respectively. Cardiac catheterization performed 101 (83%),and coronary anomalies found 11 patients. Mean McGoon index, pulmonary annulus z-score, main artery left z-score...
The most common pediatric arrhythmias are tachycardias, and the type is supraventricular tachycardia, originating from or above atrioventricular node HIS bundle. Ventricular tachycardias less but more dangerous. Supraventricular usually cause a narrow complex tachycardia unless there basal bundle branch block rate-dependent aberration. A wide QRS should be treated as ventricular proven to an with Diagnosis of both tachyarrhythmia types depends mainly on 12-lead electrocardiography. in...
Background Epicardial implantation of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) is considered in the presence intracardiac shunt, venous access issue, or small body size. We report our experience with epicardial ICD coil using a minimally invasive method. Methods Nine patients who underwent were included. The median age was 7.4 years (3.9–9.6 years) and weight 15 kg (12–24 kg). Diagnosis at time included long QT syndrome (n = 5), catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia 2),...
Curative therapy of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia remains a challenge in interventional electrophysiology. The aim this study was to demonstrate the utility an EnSite NavX system catheter ablation children. In all, 17 children with underwent electrophysiological studies using guidance. The mean patient age 13 ± 2.4 years (range: 7.8-17.9) and weight 52.3 11.9 kg 32-75). origin right outflow tract nine patients, left ventricle six, near bundle His/right branch one, aortic cusp one....
Introduction: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has become a standard technique over the past few decades in intensive care unit (ICU).Objective: A review of pediatric patients who received ECMO support cardiac ICU was conducted to determine incidence, risk factors and causal organisms related acquired infections assess survival rates with nosocomial infections. Methods: Sixty-six between January 2011 June 2014 were included study.Demographic, echocardiographic, hemodynamic features...
This study aims to evaluate early postoperative arrhythmias in children undergoing congenital cardiac surgery.A total of 670 pediatric patients (355 males, 315 females; median age: 4 months; range, 1 day 18 years) who underwent surgery due heart defects between December 2018 and November 2019 were included. The rate arrhythmias, diagnosis, potential risk factors, management strategies evaluated. Multivariate regression analysis was used identify significant factors development...
Isolated complete atrioventricular block is a rare disease often associated with maternal autoantibodies. This study aimed to present the midterm data of patients at our clinic diagnosed isolated block. We evaluated 108 block. Demographic patients, electrocardiography, echocardiography, 24-hour Holter monitoring data, and follow-up complications who underwent pacemaker implantation were retrospectively. The mean age diagnosis was 5.51 ± 5.05 years. At time diagnosis, 74.8% had no symptoms The...
Abstract Introduction Although amiodarone is traditionally used in the treatment of postoperative junctional ectopic tachycardia (JET), search for new treatments ongoing. We present our experience with ivabradine at two medical centers. Materials and Methods Between January 2022 2023, patients who developed JET after pediatric cardiac surgery were prospectively followed up documented. The diagnosis was made support electrophysiology team based primarily on whether disrupted hemodynamics....
