The high chemical and structural diversity of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), which are porous crystalline materials, has attracted significant academic industrial interest. However, the poor processability MOF powders limits their full potential in practical applications. Toward this end, MOF-based composite materials increase framework robustness subsequent utility. Among these hybrid composites prepared on commercially available textile fibers offer flexibility needed for important...

Photocatalytic CO2 reduction into formate (HCOO-) has been widely studied with semiconductor and molecule-based systems, but it is rarely investigated covalent organic frameworks (COFs). Herein, we report a novel donor-acceptor COF named Co-PI-COF composed of isoindigo metallated porphyrin subunits that exhibits high catalytic efficiency (∼50 μmol g-1 h-1) at low-power visible-light irradiation in the absence rare metal cocatalysts. Density functional theory calculations experimental...

Abstract The development of n‐type organic semiconductors has evolved significantly slower in comparison to that p‐type mainly due the lack electron‐deficient building blocks with stability and processability. However, realize a variety optoelectronic devices, high‐performance polymer are essential. Herein, conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) comprising isoindigo acceptor units linked benzene or pyrene donor ( BI PI ) showing semiconducting behavior reported. In addition, considering...

The syntheses of new Zn(II) tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP) derivatives functionalized with electron-rich d6-transition metal alkynyl complexes at their periphery are reported. Z-scan measurements reveal remarkably large effective two-photon absorption (TPA) cross-sections in the visible range for these compounds.

With the help of EPR spectroscopy, we show that diamagnetic [Ru(dppe)2(-C≡C-R)2] system sets up a magnetic coupling between two organic radicals R, i.e., nitronyl nitroxide or verdazyl units, which is stronger than related platinum organometallic systems. Surprisingly, further oxidation ruthenium redox-active metal unit (MCU), introduces an additional spin on carbon-rich part, leads to switching off this interaction. On contrary, in simpler complexes bearing only one radical ligands...

Abstract The present study aims to determine the carcinogenic and neurotoxic risks associated with acrylamide intake from cereal products. Analysis on a UPLC–MS/MS spectrometer revealed that oat-based mixed cereals contain highest amount of among products levels as high 271 348 μg/kg, respectively. Children were shown exhibit both regardless type product consumed. For adults above 50 years age, only consumers seem risks. To avoid risk Lebanese population, we propose food processors set...

A new Zn(ii) porphyrin-based dendrimer (52) containing twelve Ru(ii) alkynyl fragments, has been prepared following a convergent approach in two steps from 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-ethynylphenyl)porphyrinatozinc(ii) (6). The cubic nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of 52 and other derivatives 6 have measured by third-harmonic generation (THG) at 1907 nm Z-scan over the spectral range 500-1700 nm, revealing remarkable NLO response near-IR range. These results highlight beneficial role extended...

Abstract There is a growing interest in new semiconductor nanostructures for future high-density high-performance flexible electronic devices. Two-dimensional conjugated microporous polymers (2D-CMPs) are promising candidates because of their inherent optoelectronic properties. Here, we reporting novel donor–acceptor type 2D-CMP based on Pyrene and Isoindigo ( PI ) potential nano-scale charge-trapping memory application. We exfoliated the polymer into ~ 2.5 nm thick nanoparticles (NPs)...
