Abstract Intergranular corrosion and intergranular stress cracking is influenced by precipitation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries formation depletion regions. The present study focuses on understanding the carbide subsequent sensitization in weldments Alloy 600 using two different welding techniques. effect heat input microstructure IGC susceptibility was measured electrochemical reactivation test. SEM studies were done to evaluate presence depleted indentified be Cr 7 C 3 TEM....
This article reviews the analytical techniques used for phase identification in components, including x-ray diffraction, metallography/microscopy, electron backscatter trasmission microscopy, and atom probe tomography. The addresses advantages and disadvantages of each technique compared to other approaches.
