サイクリン依存性キナーゼ(CDK)は細胞周期制御に重要な役割を果たしており,口腔癌を始め多くの癌でその異常が報告されている。CDK特異的阻害剤であるFlavopiridolはCDK1/2/4/7活性を特異的に阻害し,アポトーシスを誘導して口腔癌細胞株の増殖を抑制する。今回我々は,口腔癌細胞株における放射線とFlavopiridolの併用効果について検討した。Flavopiridolと放射線照射(4Gy)の併用により,口腔癌細胞株における増殖抑制効果は増強した。口腔癌細胞株をヌードマウスに移植したxenograftの検討においても,Flavopiridolと放射線照射の併用は相乗的な抗腫瘍効果を示した。以上の結果より,口腔癌に対する新たな治療戦略として有用である可能性が示唆された。
