PurposeMultiple energy extraction (MEE) is a technology that was recently introduced by Hitachi for its spot-scanning proton treatment system, which allows multiple energies to be delivered in single synchrotron spill. The purpose of this paper investigate how much beam delivery time (BDT) can reduced with MEE compared (SEE), one per spill. Methods and MaterialsA developed model based on BDT measurements our synchrotron's performance used compute BDT. total 2694 deliveries cohort 79 patients...

The beta decay of 33Mg (N=21) presented in this Letter reveals intruder configurations both the parent and daughter nucleus. lowest excited states N=20 nucleus, 33Al, are found to have nearly 2p-2h configuration, thus extending "island inversion" beyond Mg. allowed direct beta-decay branch 5/2{+} ground state nucleus 33Al implies positive parity for 33Mg, contrary an earlier suggestion negative from a g-factor measurement. An admixture 1p-1h 3p-3h is proposed explain all experimental observables.

Abstract Background Bolus materials have been used for decades in radiotherapy. Most frequently, these are utilized to bring dose closer the skin surface cover superficial targets optimally. While cavity filling, such as nasal cavities, is desirable, traditional commercial bolus lacking, requiring other solutions. Recently, investigators worked on utilizing 3D printing technology, including commercially available solutions, which can overcome some challenges with bolus. Purpose To utilize...
