We initiate the study of collocation methods for NURBS-based isogeometric analysis. The idea is to connect superior accuracy and smoothness NURBS basis functions with low computational cost collocation. develop a one-dimensional theoretical analysis, perform numerical tests in one, two three dimensions. results obtained confirm illustrate potential methodology.
