Some gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) have a tera-electron volt (TeV) afterglow, but the early onset of this has not been observed. We report observations with Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) bright GRB 221009A, which serendipitously occurred within instrument's field view. More than 64,000 photons >0.2 TeV were detected first 3000 seconds. The flux began several minutes after trigger and then rose to peak ~10 seconds later. This was followed by decay phase, became more rapid ~650...
We present the first catalog of very-high energy and ultra-high gamma-ray sources detected by Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). The was compiled using 508 days data collected Water Cherenkov Detector Array (WCDA) from March 2021 to September 2022 933 recorded Kilometer Squared (KM2A) January 2020 2022. This represents main result most sensitive large coverage survey sky above 1 TeV, covering declination $-$20$^{\circ}$ 80$^{\circ}$. In total, contains 90 with an extended...
Main observation and conclusion Pillar[5]arene‐based supramolecular polymer gels (SPGs) show broad application prospects. To investigate the influence of monomers’ structure on assembly properties corresponding pillar[5]arene‐based SPGs, a series monomers based different functionalized pillar[5]arene derivatives with various structures were synthesized. There are per‐methylated (H1), bromobutane‐functionalized (H2), 4‐hydroxybenzaldehyde‐functionalized (H3), ethyl...
Abstract The first source catalog of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) reported detection a very high energy gamma-ray source, 1LHAASO J1219+2915. This Letter presents further detailed study spectral and temporal behavior this pointlike source. best-fit position TeV (R.A. = 185.°05 ± 0.°04, decl. 29.°25 0.°03) is compatible with NGC 4278 within ∼0.°03. Variation analysis shows an indication variability on timescale few months in band, which consistent low-frequency...
Abstract Extremely strong water‐vapor supply is a necessary condition for generating an extreme rainstorm; however, this rarely satisfied the semi‐humid regions, such as North China. To clarify how moisture within areas of crucial importance to further understanding type event. From July 29 August 2, 2023, unprecedented rainfall event hit Beijing (an 83‐hr accumulated precipitation ˜1,025 mm appears) and broke its record that has stood past 140 years. We conduct synoptic analyses three types...
Abstract The core-collapse supernova remnant (SNR) Cassiopeia A (Cas A) is one of the brightest galactic radio sources with an angular radius ∼ 2 . ′ 5 . In this Letter we try to search for signals generated by ultraheavy dark matter at the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) data. We look possible γ rays annihilation or decay from 16 dwarf spheroidal galaxies in field of view LHAASO. Dwarf are among most promising targets indirect detection that have low fluxes astrophysical γ-ray background while having large amount matter. By analyzing more than 700 days observational data LHAASO, no significant signal 1 TeV EeV is...
Improving the selective and sensitive binding properties of macrocyclic hosts to target guests is always an interesting challenge. Herein, we introduce a novel "bis-clamp-cavity synergy" strategy enhance selectivity sensitivity pillararenes toward guests. To achieve this goal, designed synthesized
Abstract During 26–27 June 2022, mainly influenced by three mesoscale vortices, central‐eastern China (particularly for Henan and Shandong) experiences the first widespread torrential rainfall event of 2022 flood season (maximum 24‐hr accumulated precipitation is ∼380.9 mm), resulting in severe social impacts. The vortices form sustain under favorable background conditions, including a strong upper‐level divergence, an intense middle‐level warm advection, powerful lower‐level convergence...
Three algorithms are presented to address three problems in stress analysis of castings: difficulties for enmeshment complicated casting into finite element meshes, coupling thermal and analysis, determination inverse deformation, respectively. An algorithm conversion difference meshes is achieved by reformatting the data meshes. heat transfer coefficient at casting/mould interface realised with feedback deformation transfer. Machining allowance applied as a criterion evaluation castings....
Continuous observations from geostationary satellites can show the morphology of precipitation cloud systems in quasi-real-time, but there are still large deviations inversion precipitation. We used binary-connected area recognition technology to identify meso-β-scale rain clusters over Hainan Island 1 June 2000 31 December 2018, based on Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM data. defined and statistically analyzed parameters reveal typical...
We present the measurements of all-particle energy spectrum and mean logarithmic mass cosmic rays in range 0.3-30 PeV using data collected from LHAASO-KM2A between September 2021 December 2022, which is based on a nearly composition-independent reconstruction method, achieving unprecedented accuracy. Our analysis reveals position knee at $3.67 \pm 0.05 0.15$ PeV. Below knee, spectral index found to be -$2.7413 0.0004 0.0050$, while above it -$3.128 0.005 0.027$, with sharpness transition...
The Forward Silicon Tracker (FST) is a pivotal component of the forward upgrade Solenoidal at RHIC (STAR), designed to discern hadron charge signs with momentum resolution better than 30\% for $0.2 < p_T 2$ GeV/c in $2.5 \eta 4$ pseudorapidity range. Its compact design features three disks along beam direction, minimized material budget and scattering effects. FST uses Hamamatsu's p-in-n silicon strip sensors double metal layer efficient signal processing. flexible hybrid boards, essential...
We present the first measurements of transverse momentum spectra $\pi^{\pm}$, $K^{\pm}$, $p(\bar{p})$ at midrapidity ($|y| < 0.1$) in U+U collisions $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 193 GeV with STAR detector Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The centrality dependence particle yields, average momenta, ratios and kinetic freeze-out parameters are discussed. results compared published from Au+Au \snn 200 STAR. also to those A Multi Phase Transport (AMPT) model.
