A series of bay-linked perylene bisimides as non-fullerene acceptors for organic solar cells are designed. The best power conversion efficiency up to 3.63% based on s-diPBI (1b) is demonstrated by fine-tuning optoelectronic properties resulting from different degrees twisting and flexibility bay-linkages.

Biopolymeric hydrogels have drawn increasing research interest in biomaterials due to their tunable physical and chemical properties for both creating bioactive cellular microenvironment serving as sustainable therapeutic reagents. Inspired by a naturally occurring hydrogel secreted from the carnivorous Sundew plant trapping insects, here we developed bioinspired deliver mitsugumin 53 (MG53), an important protein cell membrane repair, chronic wound healing. Both compositions...

Abstract Previous observational studies have suggested an association between tryptophan (TRP)–kynurenine (KYN) pathway and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). However, whether there is a causal relationship among them remains unclear. Therefore, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study was conducted to explore the potential effects of crucial metabolites in TRP–KYN on IBD its subtypes. Using summary data from genome-wide studies, MR employed evaluate genetic associations TRP KYN as...

Abstract Heat stress induced by continuous high ambient temperatures or strenuous exercise in humans and animals leads to intestinal epithelial damage through the induction of intracellular response. However, precise mechanisms involved regulation cell injury, especially stem cells (ISCs), remain unclear. Thereby, vitro a confluent monolayer IPEC‐J2 was exposed (39, 40, 41°C), proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, barrier were determined, as well expression GRP78, which is marker...

Cancer cells develop resistance to chemotherapeutic intervention by excessive formation of stress granules (SGs), which are modulated an oncogenic protein G3BP2. Selective control G3BP2/SG signaling is a potential means treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Co-immunoprecipitation was conducted identify the interaction MG53 and Immunohistochemistry live imaging were performed visualize subcellular expression or co-localization. We used shRNA knock-down G3BP2 test migration colony...

Scope The intestinal epithelium is nourished by various nutrients and subjected to persistent widespread feed‐derived mycotoxin stress. l ‐Carnosine (LC) possesses robust antioxidant activity; however, its role in protecting mucosa against deoxynivalenol (DON) still unclear. Methods results In this study, 300 mg kg ‐1 BW LC 3 DON are orally administered mice either alone or combination for 10 days investigate the of intestine DON. This study found that alleviates growth retardation repairs...

Leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5) and B-cell-specific Moloney murine leukemia virus insertion site 1 (BMI1) are markers of fast-cycling quiescent intestinal stem cells, respectively. To determine the functions these proteins in large animals, we investigated their effects on proliferation epithelial cells from pigs. Our results indicated that LGR5 BMI1 highly conserved pig have greater homology with human than do mouse proteins. Overexpression either or...

Given that Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) generally infects people in early childhood and such persons when not treated with antibiotics remain infected for the rest of their lives, it is quite important to detect H. children, convenient do so using non-invasive methods. Stool antigen tests constitute an effective method. In current work, a novel fecal test was developed based on immunomagnetic beads (IMBs) monoclonal antibodies sensitively recognizing capturing pylori, coupled polyclonal...

Excitatory amino acid transporter 3 (EAAT3, encoded by SLC1A1) is an epithelial type high-affinity anionic transporter, and glutamate the major oxidative fuel for intestinal cells. This study investigated effects of EAAT3 on transport cell proliferation through activation mammalian target rapamycin (mTOR) pathway in porcine jejunal cells (IPEC-J2). Anionic cystine (Cys) were increased (P<0.05) overexpression decreased knockdown rather than other acids. MTT counting assays suggested that...
