Oncogenic mutant p53 is one of the targets for cancer therapy, and development anticancer drugs that reactivate a promising strategy. The extract fungus Pestalotiopsis sp. changed to wild-type-like in Saos-2 (p53R175H) cells, as shown by fluorescent immunostaining, bioassay-guided purification afforded new dimeric epoxyquinoids, pestones A B (1 2), known compound, rosnecatrone (3). relative absolute configurations 1 2 were determined based on spectroscopic data semisynthesis from 3....

This study compared pain intensity and psychosocial characteristics between patients with burning mouth syndrome (BMS) those trigeminal neuralgia (TN). Data from 282 BMS 83 TN were analyzed. Patients reported duration of illness: ≤ 6 months was defined as acute illness > chronic illness. Present worst during the past using a 0-10 numeric rating scale (NRS). In addition, depression somatization scores evaluated on questionnaires. significantly higher had worse than did BMS. Pain in patients,...

We investigated the relationship between pain intensity and psychosocial characteristics in patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Participants painful TMD, according to Research Diagnostic Criteria for TMD (RDC/TMD), were recruited from our clinic classified into six age groups: 15 24, 25 34, 35 44, 45 54, 55 64, 65 85 years (Groups A through F, respectively). Self-reported present worst during past 6 months ascertained using a numeric rating scale (0 10). Depression somatization...

We evaluated the mechanisms underlying oxytocin (OXT)-induced analgesic effect on orofacial neuropathic pain following infraorbital nerve injury (IONI). IONI was established through tight ligation of one-third thickness. Subsequently, head withdrawal threshold for mechanical stimulation (MHWT) whisker pad skin measured using a von Frey filament. Trigeminal ganglion (TG) neurons innervating were identified retrograde labeling technique. OXT receptor-immunoreactive (IR), transient receptor...

Background: The cognitive effects of wearing a denture are not well understood. This study was conducted to clarify the use on prefrontal and chewing muscle activities, occlusal state, subjective ability in partially edentulous elderly individuals. Methods: Sixteen patients were enrolled. Chewing-related cortex jaw activities simultaneously examined using an fNIRS device electromyography, under conditions unwearing denture.
