Inadequate nutrient management is one of the major challenges for sustainable soybean production in semi-arid climatic conditions. Hence, a 3-year (2015–2017) field experiment was conducted to assess effect foliar application macro- and micronutrients on growth, productivity, profitability soybean. Eight sprays at pod initiation stage—water spray (WS), 2% urea solution, di-ammonium phosphate solution (DAP2%), 0.5% muriate potash (MOP0.5%), 19:19:19 nitrogen phosphorus potassium (NPK2%), each...

Salinity severely affects plant growth and development causing crop loss worldwide. We have isolated a large number of salt-induced genes as well unknown hypothetical from Salicornia brachiata Roxb. Presence of Kunitz trypsin inhibitor (KTI) in soybean seeds necessitates pre-heat treatment the soy-flour for its inactivation before using it food and feed products. The heat not only enhances processing costs soy-based foods feeds but also affects seed-protein quality solubility. Genetic elimination KTI is an important effective approach. Therefore, molecular marker-assisted backcross breeding (MABB) approach was adopted genetic from two popular genotypes, DS9712 DS9814. PI542044, exotic...

Global oilseed crop soybean [ Glycine max (L.) Merrill] contains 18%–20% oil, 40%–45% protein, and countless nutrients vital for human health. It is grown worldwide food, feed, pharmaceutical, industrial applications. However, inherent loss of seed viability during ambient storage poses serious bottleneck in the production maintenance quality seeds. Understanding inheritance mapping quantitative trait loci (QTLs) would help designing breeding program developing varieties with higher In this...
