Meningiomas (MGs) are frequent tumors of the CNS originating from meningeal layers spinal cord and brain. In this study, comparative tissue proteomic analysis low high grades MGs was performed by using iTRAQ-based quantitative proteomics in combination with ESI-quadrupole-TOF Q-Exactive MS, results were validated employing ELISA. Combining obtained two MS platforms, we able to identify overall 4308 proteins (1% false discover rate), among which 2367 exhibited differential expression (more...

The emergence of omics technologies over the last decade has helped in advancement research and our understanding complex diseases like brain cancers. However, barring genomics, no other technology been able to find utility clinical settings. recent advancements mass spectrometry instrumentation have resulted proteomics becoming more sensitive reliable. Targeted proteomics, a relatively new branch spectrometry-based shown immense potential addressing shortcomings standard molecular...

Persistence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is observed only in a subset infected individuals and among them some respond to treatment. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) carried out around the world identified single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) IL28B locus that are strongly associated with both HCV clearance treatment response. The functional significance these associations however, not clear. In this report we show an SNP rs28416813 distal promoter region close proximity...

Meningiomas are one of the most common tumors Central nervous system (CNS). This study aims to identify autoantibody biomarkers in meningiomas using high-density human proteome arrays (~17,000 full-length recombinant proteins). Screening sera from 15 unaffected healthy individuals, 10 individuals with meningioma grade I and 5 II was performed. comprehensive proteomics based investigation revealed dysregulation 489 104 proteins grades meningioma, respectively, along enrichment several...

Meningiomas are one of the most prevalent primary brain tumors. Our study aims to obtain mechanistic insights meningioma pathobiology using mass spectrometry-based label-free quantitative proteome analysis identifying druggable targets & perturbed pathways for therapeutic intervention. Label-free based proteomics was done from tissue samples 21 patients 8 non-tumor controls, which were followed up with Phosphoproteomics identify kinases and phosphorylated components pathways. In silico...
