Dysfunction of vascular endothelial cells often results in diabetic complications. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been implicated the pathogenesis various diseases, including diabetes and many diseases. This study aimed to explore roles circRNAs high glucose‐induced human umbilical vein (HUVECs) elucidate contributions We subjected control HUVECs RNA sequencing identified 214 differentially expressed (versus HUVECs, fold change ≥ 2.0, P < 0.05). then validated seven these by qPCR (...
Objective The current study aimed to compare the relationship between polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) exposure and thyroid hormone (TH) sensitivity markers in individuals with normal function USA population during 2007–2008 2009–2012. Design Observational cross-sectional study. Setting US data from 2007 2008 2009 2012. Main outcome measures Associations PAH TH were examined, stratified by sex age, along dose–response relationships metabolites indices. Results In women, after...
Cytokinins play important roles in plant growth and development. They regulate the synthesis or degradation of proteins nucleic acids. Specific mRNAs are up- down-regulated by hormones. Regulation gene expression cytokinins is at levels transcription post-transcription. Expression a single can be modulated interaction two hormones since cytokinin-enhanced nitrate reductase transcript reduced abscisic acid. Relatively high-affinity cytokinin-binding have been isolated, but physiological role...
Ubiquitin-fold modifier-1 (Ufm1) is a recently identified ubiquitin-like protein. We previously confirmed that Ufm1 expression was increased in diabetic mice. However, its role the development of diabetes remains undefined.Lentivirus-mediated gene knockdown and overexpression techniques were used to observe effect on inflammatory factors, adhesion molecules chemokines, as well transcriptional activity nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) macrophages. Western blot immunofluorescence analyses...
Abstract Background Diabetes mellitus is often associated with microvascular and macrovascular lesions, hyperglycemia-induced vascular endothelial cell damage a key factor. Methods We investigated long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) mRNAs that are affected by using human umbilical vein cells (HUVECs) as model. HUVECs were cultured under high (25 mmol/L) or normal (5 glucose conditions for 6 d, then lncRNAs protein-coding transcripts profiled RNA-seq. Result Among 40,379 screened, 214 upregulated...
Little is known about the underlying factors contributing to unfavourable clinical outcomes in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) complicated by new-onset acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The aim of this study was investigate impact DM on pathophysiologic features and prognosis AMI following successful revascularization utilizing cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR).
Purpose: A long-term "memory" of hyperglycemic stress, even when glycemia is normalized, has been previously reported in endothelial cells. However, the molecular mechanism "metabolic memory" (MM) remains unknown. In this report, we sought to screen at whole transcriptome level genes that participate MM. Methods: present research, RNA sequencing was used determine protein-coding mRNA expression profiles human umbilical vein cells (HUVECs) under normal-glucose concentration (LG), high-glucose...
Abstract Soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (sST2) is a free form membrane-bound ST2, which member the interleukin-1 receptor family. Previous research has shown that sST2 associated with diabetes, but cardiovascular risk factors have not been established. To analyze relationship between and carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) in patients type diabetes mellitus (T2DM). After screening, total 118 subjects T2DM were divided into groups according to measurement CIMT (normal (NCIMT), n =...
Numerous long non‑coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are dysregulated in the hyperglycemia‑induced phenomenon of metabolic memory (MM). In present study, significance these lncRNAs MM was explored by screening for MM‑involved differentially expressed (MMDELs) human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) induced high glucose. A total nine HUVEC samples were divided into three groups to mimic conditions low and glucose environments, as well induce state memory. The expression profiled using RNA...
Pseudohypoparathyroidism (PHP) is a rare genetic disease characterized by hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, and elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) in serum. Here, we report case of patient with pseudohypoparathyroidism type IB (PHPIB) subclinical hypothyroidism, analyze the clinical data his family members, review relevant literature, classify discuss pathogenesis characteristics each subtype. Finally, treatment approach to improve clinicians' understanding disease.
Thyroid hormone resistance syndrome (RTH) is a rare hereditary endocrine disease that can manifest as hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, or remain asymptomatic. It easily be confused with other types of thyroid diseases. The diagnosis the depends on genetic testing.

One-hundred and sixty-nine women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)and 95 healthy were enrolled. All subjects genotyped for rs290487 ( transcription factor 7-like 2 gene) by TaqManMGB probe hybridization assay. The results showed that polymorphism had association PCOS in Han people Anhui area. allele C was associated the risk of PCOS. Genotype CC seems to be insulin resistance patients. Key words: Polycystic syndrome; Transcription gene; Insulin
