ABSTRACT Sweet potato foot rot, caused by Diaporthe destruens , has been recently reported in various regions Japan. To investigate genetic diversity of D. within Japan, 135 isolates were collected 12 prefectures and ITS, TUB, TEF, H3 CAL sequenced. In all regions, there was no difference sequence among isolates, implying high homogeneity the fungus spread A phylogenetic tree constructed for ITS with other strains registered NCBI database. tree, our samples positioned closely to Korea China...
To determine the in vivo effects of a zinc oxide-eugenol mixture (ZOE) on cyclo-oxygenase system dental pulp, we used radioimmunoassay to measure levels prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-PG (DHK-PG), thromboxane B 2 (TXB2), and 6-keto-PGF 1α pulp rats. When was irritated by hole made dentin mandibular incisors without use any coolants, these products were increased to, respectively, 2.8, 1.7, 10.0, 2.6 times those normal at six hr after treatment. In contrast, increases...
Although the tumor suppressor p53 protein (P53) immunoreactivity and its gene (p53) mutation were reported to be significant prognostic indicators for human lung adenocarcinomas, little is known regarding relationship between heterogeneous distribution of P53 genetic status in each focus clinicopathological significance. To determine how heterogeneously stabilized patients, we compared expression both allelic exon 2 approximately 9 by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation...
Under low-Ca conditions, plants accumulate salicylic acid (SA) and induce SA-responsive genes. However, the relationship between SA tolerance remains unclear. Here, we demonstrated that inhibition or suppression of nonexpressor pathogenesis-related 1 (NPR1) activity, a major regulator signaling pathway in defense response, improves shoot growth under conditions. Furthermore, mutations phytoalexin-deficient 4 (PAD4) enhanced disease susceptibility (EDS1), which are upstream regulators NPR1,...
To examine the effects of wild-type (wt)-p53 gene transfer on cancer cell growth and apoptosis induction, we transduced human wt-p53 cDNA into three colon lines either with or without a mutation p53 using HVJ-cationic liposome method. Wt-p53 transfer, thus, induced an apparent arrest in all lines, but its enhancement apoptotic rate varied (from about 4 to 70 times). The simultaneous doxorubicin treatment was able enhance induction rate. These findings suggest that liposomes seems be...
Abstract To discover genetic relationships between domestic and foreign strains of Diaporthe destruens , 135 D. were collected in Japan, ITS, TUB, TEF, H3, CAL regions sequenced. All had the same sequences each region, implying high homogeneity strains. A phylogenetic tree was constructed for ITS sequence with In tree, our samples positioned closely to Korean Chinese but distant from most Taiwanese samples. Our study provides an insight into diversity which has been spreading Japan.
Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) expressed on the surface of MC 3 T 3-E l cells cultured in 96-well plates was assayed directly with 10mM P-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) same plate using a microplate reader, after replacement culture medium isotonic alkaline carbonate-bicarbonatebuffered saline. The rate substrate hydrolysis catalyzed at 24°Cby ecto-enzyme maximal pH 9.8-10.2. ecto-ALP activity 10 43-fold greater than that observed 7.4 and approximately 80%of total cell lysates.Furthermore, could...
Supernates of thymic epithelial cell culture (STEC) strongly inhibit the aggregation induced by addition adenosine diphosphate (1 μM) or thrombin (0.5 unit per ml) to washed platelet suspensions. At same time, STEC increased levels 3', 5'-cyclic monophosphate (cyclic AMP) and guanosine GMP) in platelets a dose-dependent manner. In contrast supernates from Chang, Hela HCC-M cells did not affect ADP intracellular cyclic nucleotide levels. Within 2 min after treatment with STEC, more than 50%...
