Two-sensor method proposed by Fusco et al. [“Two-sensor power measurements in lossy ducts,” J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 91, 2229–2235 (1992)] is a novel technique that determines acoustic intensity of gas column wide duct from pressure based on the boundary layer approximation. For further development this method, its validity experimentally tested through comparison with direct measuring and velocity simultaneously, formulation modified to include narrow range where radius smaller than viscous...

A novel lossless passive snubber is proposed for soft switching boost-type converters. The does not use any auxiliary switches, but uses two identical capacitors which are charged in parallel at turn off of the main switch and discharged series on automatically, energy recovered effectively (more than 95% recovery) into output capacitor. Thus, provides zero-voltage converter switch, reducing both turn-off losses electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise, improves performance. experimental...

The state space averaging models of boost, buck-boost and Cuk converters are shown to be bilinear systems. Because the difficulties in analyzing such systems, most previous work dealing with confined discussions their linear approximated systems (small signal model). A new control law based on large models, not linearly approximated, is proposed for achieving output regulation these converters. derived from directly applying Lyapunov stability theory so that closed loop possess excellent...
