Depression increases the conversion risk from amnestic mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer's disease with unknown mechanisms. We hypothesize that cumulative genomic for major depressive disorder may be a candidate cause increased risk. Here, we aimed investigate predictive effect of polygenic scores disorder-specific genetic variants (PRSsMDD) on non-depressed disease, and its underlying neurobiological The PRSsMDD could predict patients high showed 16.25% higher rate than those low was...
Abstract The high prevalence of conversion from amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) to Alzheimer's disease (AD) makes early prevention AD extremely critical. Neuroticism, a heritable personality trait associated with mental health, has been considered risk factor for aMCI AD. However, whether the neuroticism genetic could predict and its underlying neural mechanisms is unclear. Neuroticism polygenic score (N‐PRS) was calculated in 278 patients qualified genomic neuroimaging data ADNI....
Primary objective: Neuroglobin (NGB) is a known neuroprotector and up-regulated after ischaemia-hypoxia brain damage. However, no studies have investigated NGB levels ischaemic pre-conditioning middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO).Methods procedures: This study subjected rats to different MCAO regimens assayed in the hippocampus, cortex hypothalamus by immunohistochemistry, quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) western blot.Main outcomes results: After 30 minutes of...
Abstract Aggression is a common and complex social behavior that associated with violence mental diseases. Although sex differences were observed in aggression, the neural mechanism for effect of on aggression behaviors remains unclear, especially specific subscales aggression. In this study, we investigated effects subscales, gray matter volume (GMV), functional connectivity (FC) each insula subregion as well correlation GMV FC. This study found significantly influenced (a) physical anger,...
Suicidal attempts in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) have become an important challenge global mental health affairs. To correctly distinguish MDD and without suicidal attempts, a multimodal prediction model was developed this study using multimodality data, including demographic, symptoms, brain structural imaging data. This will be very helpful the early intervention of attempts. Two feature selection methods, support vector machine-recursive elimination (SVM-RFE) random...
There exist gender differences in the modulation of catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) Val158Met polymorphism on cognitive performance; however, underlying gene-anatomy-cognition pathways remain unknown. Here we hypothesize that prefrontal volume may mediate COMT interference resolution capacity a gender-dependent manner. In 261 healthy young human subjects (143 males and 118 females), 2-way analysis variance showed × interaction (P = 0.023) capacity. Val/Val performed worse Stroop test...
Abstract Urbanicity, the impact of living in urban areas, is among greatest environmental challenges for mental health. While urbanicity might be distinct different sociocultural conditions and geographic locations, there are likely to exist common features shared areas globe. Understanding these specific relations with human brain behavior will enable assess on disorders, especially childhood adolescence, where prevention early interventions most effective. We constructed from...
In order to solve the problems existing in traditional face recognition methods, such as low accuracy of feature location, poor subtle expression and long time, a localisation based on deep convolution neural network is proposed. The principle analysed, extraction human placed layer pooling layer. foreground background entropy image are obtained by binarisation method image. Optical flow characteristics all positions frame using network, facial completed. experimental results show that...
In this paper, a fast common edge extraction method based on two-level grid indexing strategy was proposed for eliminating the ‘cracks’. A coarse-grained first-level index firstly built which maps each polygon with its intersecting polygons in graphics set; secondly, fine-grained second-level is established linking cell vertices falling into cell, can be used to quickly find points shared by polygons. The ‘cracks’ problem solved if deleted are consistent two adjacent during compression.
Abstract Urbanicity is a growing environmental challenge for mental-health. While the impact of urban life on brain and behavior might be distinct in different sociocultural conditions geographies, there exist features shared between regions. To investigate correlations urbanicity with structure function, neuropsychology mental illness symptoms young people from China Europe, we developed remote-sensing satellite-measure termed ‘UrbanSat’ quantifying population-density, general measure...
