Background The uptake of sulphur-containing compounds plays a pivotal role in the physiology bacteria that live aerobic soils where organosulfur such as sulphonates and sulphate esters represent more than 95% available sulphur. Until now, no information has been on by bacterial plant pathogens, particularly those Xanthomonas genus, which encompasses several pathogenic species. In present study, we characterised alkanesulphonate system (Ssu) axonopodis pv. citri 306 strain (X. citri),...
Abstract Human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) may significantly improve drug development pipeline, serving as an in vitro system for the identification of novel leads, and testing toxicity. Furthermore, these be used to address issue differential response, a phenomenon greatly influenced by genetic factors. This application depends on availability hPSC lines from populations with diverse ancestries. So far, it has been reported that most hPSCs derived worldwide are European or East Asian We...
Gaucher disease (GD), the most prevalent lysosome storage disorder, presents an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance. It is a paradigm for therapeutic intervention in medical genetics due to existence effective enzyme replacement therapy. We report here analysis GD 262 unrelated Brazilian patients, carried out order establish frequency common mutations and provide prognostic information based on genotype-phenotype correlations. Among 247 type 1 mutation N370S was detected 47% all alleles,...
Gaucher's disease ( GD ) is caused by a β‐glucocerebrosidase deficiency, leading to the accumulation of glucocerebroside in reticuloendothelial system. The prevalence Tabuleiro do Norte TN (1:4000) highest Brazil. purpose this study was present evidence consanguinity and founder effect for G377S mutation (c. 1246G >A) among patients based on enzyme, molecular genealogical studies. Between March 2009 December 2010, 131 subjects at risk GC dried blood ≤2.19 nmol/h/ml) 5 confirmed from same...
Sickle cell anemia (SCA) is a monogenic disease of high mortality, affecting millions people worldwide. There no broad, effective, and safe definitive treatment for SCA, so the palliative treatments are most used. The establishment an in vitro model allows better understanding how occurs, besides allowing development more effective tests treatments. In this context, iPSC technology powerful tool basic research modeling, promise finding screening drugs, possibility use regenerative medicine....
Mutations in the LRRK2 gene, predominantly G2019S, have been reported individuals with autosomal dominant inheritance and sporadic Parkinson’s disease (PD). The G2019S mutation has an age-dependent penetrance evidence shows common ancestry. clinical manifestations are indistinguishable from idiopathic PD. Its prevalence varies according to population studied ranging less than 0.1% Asians 41% North African Arabs. This study aimed identify Brazilian PD patients.Method:We sampled 100 patients...
We describe generation of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) lines three unrelated idiopathic late onset Parkinson disease patients and two healthy controls above 60 years age without neurological diseases nor Ashkenazi ancestry. Human iPSC were derived from peripheral blood-erythroblasts using integration free episomal plasmids carrying four reprogramming factors OCT4, SOX2, c-MYC, KLF4 BCL-XL. The hiPSC characterized according to established criteria.
We describe the generation and characterization of hiPSC lines one type 1-Gaucher disease patient with Parkinson's two unrelated patients heterozygous for GBA mutations. Human iPSCs were derived from lymphocytes reprogrammed Sendai virus carrying reprogramming factors OCT3/4, SOX2, KLF4 MYC. The characterized according to established criteria, retained original mutations found in respective patients.
Software development is increasingly complex, with developers simultaneously working on different parts of the source code to build, maintain, and enhance systems. However, this collaborative nature can lead conflicts when multiple individuals attempt modify same file. In scenario, merge tools play a crucial role in detecting resolving these conflicts. One such tool CSDiff, conflict detection resolution tool, an alternative traditional widespread Diff3. CSDiff stands out by using...
Hypertension is a complex multifactorial disease characterized by chronic increase of arterial pressure. Ninety percent the cases are idiopathic and thus classified as essential hypertension. Uncontrolled pressure has devasting consequences including cardiac insufficiency, stroke, dementia, renal disease, ischemic heart death. The hiPSC lines described here from six hypertensive patients three controls were according to established criteria shown maintain pluripotency, differentiation into...
Marfan Syndrome (MFS) is a pleiotropic and autosomal dominant condition caused by pathogenic variants in FBN1. Although fully penetrant, clinical variability frequently observed among patients there are only few genotype-phenotype correlations described so far. Here, we describe the generation characterization of hiPSC lines derived from two unrelated MFS harboring heterozygous Human iPSCs were obtained erythroblasts reprogrammed with episomal vectors carrying reprogramming factors OCT4,...
