The foramen magnum (FM) is a unique and complex anatomical region. occipital condyle (OC) jugular tubercle (JT) are the main bony structures which obscure anterolaterally situated lesions of FM.The aim this study was to revisit anatomy FM region assess variations surrounding structures.Observations, on thirty dry skulls (dried specimens, 60 sides) ten formalin-fixed cadaveric heads with perfused vessels, were carried out define microsurgical Morphometric analysis FM, OC, JT hypoglossal canal...

Ischemia plays an important role in the development of pathological changes nerve tissue, and restoration blood flow results injury (ischemia/reperfusion [I/R] injury) mediated by toxic oxygen free radicals. Trapidil is currently used as a coronary artery vasodilating agent also for prevention ischemic symptoms cerebral vasospasm. The purpose this study was to determine effects trapidil on I/R tolerance rat peripheral nerves.Preischemia or prereperfusion administration (8 mg/kg) evaluated...

Modern broilers are intensively selected for fast growth rate combined with a low feed conversion ratio. However, adverse selection responses, such as augmented fat deposition and an increased incidence of metabolic diseases have also occurred. To achieve their genetic potential must be provided optimum environmental conditions. Any deviation from optimal conditions can result in decreased performance (FEDDES et al., 2002). Traditionally, to maximize potential, been subjected continuous or...

We aimed to evaluate the objective and subjective outcomes of humerus shaft fractures treated with minimal invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis emphasize points which may enhance clinical simplify procedure. The retrospective study included 14 patients (mean age: 41.7 years; range: 19 66 years) mid-shaft MIPPO technique between 2009 2011. 4.5-mm locking plates were applied via an anterior approach advanced antegradely (proximal distal) protect integrity deltoid insertion. We observed a bilateral and symmetrical variation of the anterior belly digastric muscle during dissection 35-year-old female cadaver. The accessory bundles were arranged in cross. These found superficial to mylohyoid deep platysma. Such from perfect symmetry has not been previously reported. To avoid misinterpretation radiological tests, it is important be aware variations when examining floor mouth submental region.

ABSTRACT: Background: Organophosphate intoxication can cause some well-known life threatening acute neurological complications such as seizures, paralysis, neuromuscular and cardiac conduction disorders. Less often, a predominantly motor delayed axonal neuropathy occur. This syndrome is due to inhibition of target esterase. Case Report: A 30-year-old woman attempted suicide by drinking approximately 1000mg/kg dimethyl-2,2-dichloro vinyl phosphate (DDVP). After muscarinic cholinergic lasting...

Abstract This study was conducted to examine the accessory head of flexor pollicis longus muscle (ahFPL) and its relation with anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) in human fetuses adult cadavers. Ninety fetus forearms 52 cadaver were dissected evaluate incidence, morphology, innervation ahFPL. The ahFPL observed 29/90 (32%) 20/52 (39%) forearms. overall side incidence 34.5% (49/142) among total examined. On other hand, population 42% (19/45) while it 50% (12/24) So, humans 44.9% (31/69)...

In this study, we evaluated the effects of trapidil on crush injury by monitoring nitric oxide, malondialdehyde and transforming growth factor-Beta2 levels transmission electron microscopy in rat sciatic nerve. The nerve was compressed for 20 sec using a jewelers forceps. Trapidil treatment groups were administrated single dose (8 mg/kg) intraperitoneally just after injury. + 2nd, 7th, 15th, 30th 45th days post-crush period. On 7th 15th days, damage thin thick myelinated axons, endoneural...
