YB(66) is suitable for dispersing synchrotron radiation in the 1-2 keV energy range with a 2d lattice spacing of 1.17 nm. When used an undulator there are no positive glitches at 1385.6 and 1438 eV spectra dispersed by 400 double-crystal monochromator as observed using bending-magnet or wiggler beamlines. The transmission function has been measured means Si PIN photodetector, X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES) Mg, Al were high resolution. From all these experiments it clarified...

The 3rd generation synchrotron radiation (SR) facilities have been recently built and given us high flux wide-energy tunable X-ray. This characteristic is useful to obtain XPS spectra excited by the energy X-ray, which reveals deeper layers. In this work, we used beamline of SPring-8 BL15XU has an revolver type undulator a double crystal tandem monochromator angle-resolved machine where resolution good even if X-ray up 4500eV. For multilayers magnetic tunnel junction device, measurement...

A new ultra-high-resolution powder diffractometer for synchrotron radiation has been constructed at beamline BL15XU, SPring-8. The two-axis is optimized high-flux and high-coherent X-ray beams, which are provided by combining a planar undulator large offset rotated-inclined Si(111) double-crystal monochromator. optics design of the based on transmission geometry, employs capillary specimen reflection geometries using flat-plate specimen. intensity data collected 2θ step-scan technique in...

Small-angle X-ray scattering measurements of water droplets in a mist were carried out using the BL15XU beamline at SPring-8. The diameter generated by ultrasonic atomization was found to be ≥ 50 nm and had no distribution range under nm, as predicted. study also showed how difficult it is measure small-angle low-density materials, such liquid mist.

Abstract A demonstration test of a newly developed double crystal monochromator was performed on beamline BL06 in the NewSUBARU synchrotron radiation facility Hyogo University. Due to symmetrical layout 1st and 2nd units monochromator, maximum rotation speed main axis up 5.0 degrees/sec could be achieved. The is controlled by control board programmed with an electronic cam algorithm. system allows both Z 1 2 axes successively synchronized as Bragg angle changes. are moved apart equal amounts...

Crystals of ferrian aluminian diopside were synthesized and the structures investigated by means a single-crystal X-ray diffraction method in detail. EPMA gave chemical formula Ca1.00(Mg0.55Fe3+0.37Al0.08)(Si1.55Al0.45)O6 for crystals as an average. Structure refinement indicated that about 9 % Fe3+ ions are at T sites, giving Ca1.00(Mg0.55Fe3+0.34Al0.11)(Si1.55Al0.42Fe3+0.03)O6. Existence sites was, however, not confirmed on difference Fourier map making use anomalous dispersion effect Fe K...

The BL07A beamline in New SUBARU, University of Hyogo, has been used for many studies new materials. A double crystal monochromator controlled by integrated computing was designed and installed the 2014. In this report we will discuss unique features monochromator, MKZ-7NS. This not exclusively use BL07A; on contrary, it to be at low cost various beamlines facilitate industrial applications medium-scale synchrotron radiation facilities. Thus, design utilized common packages that can satisfy...

Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) measurements using synchrotron radiation and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observation have been carried out for characterizing fine particles of ferric oxides including hydroxides oxyhydroxides. A compact chamber was designed SAXS at BL15XU SPring-8, Japan. profiles reference oxyhydroxides, namely, α-FeOOH (goethite), β-FeOOH (akaganetite), γ-FeOOH (lepidocrocite), obtained the measurement system were compared with their morphologies observed by...

Splitting between the field-cooled dielectric constant and zero-field-cooled was observed for a diluted system of LiTaO3 nanoparticles (diameter ≈30 Å) embedded in amorphous SiO2. At applied field frequency 100 kHz, real part diverged from that one at ≈380 °C. The bifurcation point history-dependent rose ≈310 to ≈540 °C upon increasing 10 1000 kHz. Bulk powders showed no splitting maximum 645 constant, despite variation frequency. Both dependence suggest with single-domain structure were...
