We present the first European network of tree ring δ 13 C and 18 O, containing 23 sites from Finland to Morocco. Common climate signals are found over broad climatic‐ecological ranges. In temperate regions we find positive correlations with summer maximum temperatures negative precipitation Palmer Drought Severity Indices (PDSI) no obvious species‐specific differences. Regional O chronologies share high common variance in year‐to‐year variations. Long‐term variations, however, exhibit...

Adhesives on the basis of urea‐formaldehyde (UF) and melamine‐urea‐formaldehyde (MUF) are extensively used in production wood‐based panels. In present study, attempt was made to improve mechanical board properties by reinforcing these adhesives with cellulose nanofibers (CNFs). The latter were produced from dissolving grade beech pulp a homogenization process. Adhesive mixtures CNF content 0, 1, 3 wt% based solid resin prepared mixing an aqueous suspension UF MUF adhesives. Cancer cachexia is a prevalent symptom of head and neck neoplasms. The reduction in skeletal muscle mass one the main characteristics which can lead to poor physical functioning. purposes this pilot randomized controlled trial were determine feasibility progressive resistance training cachectic cancer patients during radiotherapy explore possible risks benefits. Abstract Aim The aim was to decipher Europe‐wide spatio‐temporal patterns of forest growth dynamics and their associations with carbon isotope fractionation processes inferred from tree rings as modulated by climate warming. Location Europe North Africa (30‒70° N, 10° W‒35° E). Time period 1901‒2003. Major taxa studied Temperate Euro‐Siberian trees. Methods We characterize changes in the relationship between over 20th century using a European network consisting 20 site chronologies. Using...

Abstract The Post COVID-19 condition (PCC) is a complex disease affecting health and everyday functioning. This well reflected by patient’s inability to work (ITW). In this study, we aimed investigate factors associated with ITW (1) design machine learning-based model for predicting (2) twelve months after baseline. We selected patients from the post COVID care study (PCC-study) data on their ability work. To identify ITW, compared PCC without ITW. For constructing predictive model, nine...

Following behavioral economic theory, these differences may be partially attributed the impact of personality traits on individual strategies approach post-surgical challenges. This study explored associations between self-efficacy, willingness take risk regarding...
