The aim of the present study was to assess hematological response common carp fungicides and determine recovery patterns in fungicide-free water. Fish were exposed mancozeb, prochloraz or tebuconazole (at concentrations 1.0, 1.0 2.5 mg 1⁻¹, respectively) for 14 days followed by a 30-day period. following parameters examined after 1, 3 exposure as well time: red blood cells (RBC), hematocrit (Het), total hemoglobin concentration (Hb), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), (MCHC), (MCH), number...

The aim of the study was to investigate effect different concentrations carbendazim, a commonly used fungicide, on embryonic development and hatching Prussian carp, Carassius gibelio (Bloch). egg samples were incubated with carbendazim - 0.001, 0.006, 0.036, 0.216, 1.296 mg l -1 , for 98 hours. results data showed that at 0.036 higher lethal carp embryos. There no significant differences in rate, percentage hatched larvae, or deformed larvae exposed two lowest tested (0.001 0.006 ).The...

Pyrethroids play an important role in modern agriculture but their use is not without risks to non-target organisms and habitats. They have high toxicity a broad spectrum of aquatic organisms. The aim the study was investigate effect low concentration (0.02 μg l(-1)) two widely used pyrethroids--cypermethrin deltamethrin on phyto- zooplankton. acute bioassays were conducted using Chlorella vulgaris Thamnocephalus platyurus. Then, chronic vulgaris, Daphnia magna Brachionus calycilforus. 24h...

Herbicides are used in large amounts agriculture and the evaluation of their toxic effects is major concern to environmental safety. The aim present study was investigate common carp hematological alterations caused by herbicide exposure. Fish were treated with pendimethalin ethofumesate tested separately mixture administered aquarium water. Peripheral blood fish collected after 1, 3 7 days exposure compared control. total number erythrocytes (RBC), leukocytes (WBC), hematocrit value (Hct),...

Parasites of six Notothenia species were studied in 1979 at he Polish Academy Sciences′ H. Arctowski Station on the South Shetlands. Only two fish species, namely, coriiceps neglecta and N. rossi marmorata, showed presence external parasites, Pseudobenedenia nototheniae Johnston, 1931. A number observations have been made parasite′s morphology. Evidence support Gibson (1976) who regards P. lauriei Szidat, 1965 as synonymous with 1931 is given.
