This study aims to examine in detail for the first time cytotoxic profile of twelve choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (NADES) against HT-29, Caco-2, MCF-7, and MRC-5 cell lines. All NADES systems were synthesized by microwave synthesis using chloride as a hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) selected sugars, alcohols, organic acids, urea donors (HBD) with addition 20% water (w/w) all systems. It was observed that effect predominantly depended on structure HBD. Acidic systems, where HBDs...

The effect of medium doses γ-irradiation (1-10 kGy) on total phenolic andtannin contents, lipid peroxidation, protein oxidation intensity and soluble contentof soybean seeds, (genotype Ana), was investigated. Screening for antioxidant ability wasperformed using FRAP DPPH methods. Total tannin contents DPPHscavenger activity were increased, while decreased byapplied γ-irradiation. Gamma irradiation provoked insignificant changes in lipidperoxidation content, wassignificantly when dose 10 kGy...

Abstract It has been shown that Allium species may help to prevent tumor promotion, cardiovascular diseases and aging; all processes are associated with free radicals. Therefore the of both cultivated ( nutans L., fistulosum vineale psekemense B. Fedtsch, cepa sativum L.) wild flavum sphaerocephalum atroviolaceum Boiss, schenoprasum ursinum scorodoprasum from various locations were investigated for their antioxidative properties. The leaves examined activities enzymes (catalase, peroxidase,...

Antioxidant characteristics of leaves, twigs, and acorns from two Serbian oak species Quercus robur L. petraea Vojvodina province (northern Serbia) were investigated. 80% ethanol (in water) extracts used for antiradical power (ARP) determinations against DPPH • , NO radicals, ferric reducing antioxidant (FRAP), total phenol, tannin, flavonoid, proanthocyanidin contents. Permanganate capacity (PRAC) was determined using water extracts. Beside, mentioned parameters, soluble proteins, lipid...

High variability in the natural population of cornelian cherry region Serbia is an important genetic potential for use breeding programs. In course a 2-year study, significant differences have been noted morphometric characteristics (fruit weight and flesh to stone ratio were 2.11 6.71 g 78.52% 88.74%, respectively) chemical composition mesocarp [content total dry matter (TSC), soluble solid content (SSC), acids, reducing sugars, sucrose, Ca-pectates, vitamin C, proteins, cellulose,...

Abstract Cultivated and wild Allium species were investigated in order to compare the antioxidant capacity of their leaves bulbs. Leaf bulb anti-oxidative enzymes scavenger activities, along with quantities non-enzymic antioxidants, malonyl-dialdehyde OH radicals determined. Results obtained suggest that possess higher anti-oxidant scavenging activities than bulbs majority cultivated examined. Cultivation some such as A. flavum L., schoenoprasum L. ursinum could be conducted future produce high

Recycling organic waste is most important for preserving natural resources. The research objective was to quantify the effect of application vermicompost and leachate on yield quality strawberries compare it with a standard fertilization program mineral fertilizers during 3-year production cycle. Five treatments were studied: control—without fertilizer (Ø); (V); + foliar (VL); through fertigation (L); NPK (NPK). V positively affected strawberry only in first year. In all three years...

Plants of the genus Prunus and Pyrus have been valued used for centuries due to their rich nutritional therapeutic properties. The fruit itself is primarily consumed, while other parts plants are often overlooked despite biological activity. In this study, branches leaves 10 plant species were investigated, including nine from (wild P. avium, cultivated mahaleb, fruticosa, cerasus, domestica, persica, cerasifera, cerasifera pissardii) one (P. communis). This study aimed determine...
