Domesticated ungulate pluripotent embryonic stem (ES) cell lines would be useful for generating precise gene-modified animals. To date, many efforts have been made to establish domesticated ES cells from early embryos without success. Here, we report the generation of porcine-induced (iPS) using drug-inducible expression defined factors. We showed that porcine iPS expressed alkaline phosphatase, SSEA3, SSEA4, Tra-1-60, Tra-1-81, Oct3/4, Nanog, Sox2, Rex1 and CDH1. Pig high levels telomerase...

The paper is devoted to the application of model order reduction results direct numerical simulation a low momentum laminar jet discharged into channel crossflow through circular orifice (Reynolds number Re=3333, jet-to-crossflow velocity ratio R=1/6, mesh 13 million nodes, (Wu et al., 2017a)). Main attention paid post-processor analysis computational via techniques: Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) and Dynamic Mode (DMD) which can drastically reduce amount data needed. Up 400...

Cell fate commitment of pre-implantation blastocysts, to either the inner cell mass or trophoblast, is first step in lineage segregation developing human embryo. However, intercellular signals that control determination these cells remain obscure. Human embryonic stem (hESCs) provide a unique model for studying early development. We have previously shown Activin/Nodal signaling contributes maintaining pluripotency hESCs, which are derivatives mass. Here we further demonstrate inhibition...

We use the self-organizing map, an unsupervised machine learning method, to find turbulent/nonturbulent interface in a transitional boundary layer with help of Johns Hopkins Turbulence Databases. This method separates turbulent regions from vortical streaks and free-stream turbulence.

Glial precursor cells are among the major types of glia in dorsal root ganglias (DRGs) peripheral nervous system. Previous studies have shown that transdifferentiation DRGs-derived glial contributes to neurogenesis. In present study, we investigated mRNA expression profiles and examined effects differential mRNAs (DEMs) during differentiation derived from rat DRGs. We characterized DRGs explants using immunofluorescence. Sequencing was subsequently conducted, followed by enrichment analysis...

Abstract It has been recently reported that CD38 expressed on tumor cells of multiple murine and human origins could be upregulated in response to PD-L1 antibody therapy, which led dysfunction tumor-infiltrating CD8 + T immune due increasing the production adenosine. However, role expressed-CD38 neoplastic formation progression remains elusive. In present study, we aimed delineate molecular biochemical function tumor-associated lung adenocarcinoma progression. Our clinical data showed...

Premature ovarian failure (POF) is an defect characterized by the premature depletion of follicles before 40 years age, representing one major cause female infertility. Stem cells provide possibility a potential treatment for POF. In this study, rat embryonic stem (ESCs) and induced pluripotent (iPSCs) were co-cultured with granulosa (GCs) to differentiate GC-like cells. The level estradiol (E2) analyzed radioimmunoassay showed that E2 concentration culture supernatant iPSCs ESCs increased...

Transition from laminar to turbulent flow occurring over a smooth surface is particularly important route chaos in fluid dynamics. It often occurs via sporadic inception of spatially localized patches (spots) turbulence that grow and merge downstream become the fully boundary layer. A long-standing question has been whether these incipient spots already contain properties high-Reynolds-number, developed turbulence. In this study, posed for geometric scaling interface separating within outer...

One of the greatest challenges hypersonic vehicles is their thermal protection and, more specifically, cooling engine. To simulate behavior a complete actively cooled system, computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis coupling method applied to calculate fluid/thermal/stress distributions for steady-state flight conditions. Work has been done on four different Ni-based alloys three panel structures. Temperature stress profiles at outlet cross section show that maximum...

Motivated by specific data and accuracy requirements for building numerical databases of turbulent flows, compression using spatio-temporal sub-sampling local re-simulation is proposed. Numerical experiments decaying isotropic turbulence based on sub-sampled are undertaken. The results error analyses used to establish parameter choices sufficiently accurate sub-domain re-simulation.
