Matrine (MAR), oxymatrine (OMAR), and sophoridine (SPD) are natural alkaloids with varying biological activities; matrine was recently used for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). However, short half-lives rapid elimination these matrine-type would lead to low oral bioavailability serious side effects. Herein, resveratrol (RES) selected as a co-former prepare their co-amorphous systems improve therapeutic index. The formation MAR-RES, OMAR-RES, SPD-RES established through...
Abstract A cohort of morphologically heterogenous doublecortin immunoreactive (DCX+) “immature neurons” has been identified in the cerebral cortex largely around layer II and amygdala paralaminar nucleus (PLN) among various mammals. To gain a wide spatiotemporal view on these neurons humans, we examined amygdalar DCX + brains infants to 100 year-old individuals. Layer occurred throughout cerebrum infants/toddlers, mainly temporal lobe adolescents adults, only surrounding elderly. Amygdalar...
