Plants can be exposed to ionising radiation not only in Space but also on Earth, due specific technological applications or after nuclear disasters. The response of plants depends quality/quantity and/or plant characteristics. In this paper, we analyse some growth traits, leaf anatomy, and ecophysiological features Solanum lycopersicum L. “Microtom” grown from seeds irradiated with increasing doses X-rays (0.3, 10, 20, 50, 100 Gy). Both juvenile compound leaves developed control were...

Abstract Background: Casein phosphopeptides (CPPs) are phosphorylated casein‐derived peptides produced synthetically by proteolytic digestion of α s1 ‐, s2 ‐ and β‐casein. The anticariogenic activity CPPs is due to their ability stabilize high levels amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) on tooth surface, preventing demineralization enhancing remineralization enamel caries. aim this study was test the in vitro natural (contained yogurt) prevent promote dental enamel. Indoor radon concentrations were measured in dwellings of the Puglia region Southern Italy using LR-115 passive detectors. The results show that varied from 15 ± 2 to 2166 133 Bq/m³ with a geometric mean 114 and standard deviation 2.3. An analysis on factors affecting concentration such as age dwellings, floors, stories, was performed. effective dose inhabitants has been calculated found be 8.2 mSv/y. Finally, for estimation cancer risks, lifetime risk lung cases per years million have calculated.

PTPD1, a cytosolic non-receptor protein-tyrosine phosphatase, stimulates the Src-EGF transduction pathway. Localization of PTPD1 at actin cytoskeleton and adhesion sites is required for cell scattering migration. Here, we show that during EGF stimulation, rapidly recruited to endocytic vesicles containing receptor. Endosomal localization mediated by interaction with KIF16B, an endosomal kinesin modulates receptor recycling plasma membrane. Silencing promotes degradation inhibits downstream...

Abstract We performed a case‐control study in Lazio, region central Italy characterized by high levels of indoor radon, Mediterranean climate and diet. Cases (384) controls (404) aged 35–90 years were recruited the hospital. Detailed information regarding smoking, diet other risk factors collected direct interview. Residential history during 30‐year period ending 5 before enrolment was ascertained. In each dwelling, radon detectors placed both main bedroom living room for 2 consecutive...

Objectives: Protein tyrosine phosphatases are key regulators of intracellular signaling that contribute to determining cancer cell growth, which thus makes them attractive targets for therapeutic and diagnostic agents. SHP-1 phosphotyrosine phosphatase is rarely expressed in epithelial tumor cells, but expression has been found several breast lines tumors. To determine the potential significance as a prognostic marker clinical setting, we examined protein...
