Novel c-6 position oxidized corn starch (OST) with high carboxyl content (26.3–54.5%) was prepared by a green method, using hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant. The as-obtained OSTs were then used flame-retardant carbon sources microencapsulated ammonium polyphosphate (MFAPP) in epoxy resin (EP). Compared to EP, obtained EP/MFAPP/OST composites exhibit significantly enhanced flame retardancy. introduction of only 6.25 wt % and MFAPP results remarkably increased limiting oxygen index decreased...
Developed P-doped macro/meso/micro-porous carbon exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic performance in reducing O 2 to on-site produce H for disinfection and wastewater treatment.
Abstract This work reports an effective self‐intumescent flame retardant system for epoxy resin (EP) based on the remarkable synergistic effect between Cu 2 O and ammonium polyphosphate (APP). The of O/APP improving EP's fire performance was evaluated by limited oxygen index (LOI), UL‐94, cone calorimeter test. optimal mass ratio O: APP shown to be 2:8. With 15 wt% total loading, EP with optimum formulation reached V‐0 classification high LOI (33.5%), while only got NR low (26.5%)....
Abstract Superhydrophobic surfaces attract increasing attention, and they have been widely studied because of their excellent anti-icing, anti-corrosion, self-cleaning, oil-water separation properties. In this study, a robust hierarchical structure was prepared on an Al-alloy substrate by spraying mixture epoxy resin (EP), hydrophobic SiO2, styrene-ethylene-butyrene-styrene (SEBS) to realize superhydrophobicity. addition, carbon dots (CDs) with fluorescence were incorporated detect...
Hydrophobic AgNPs have been one step synthesized in aqueous solution at ambient conditions for the first time, which could be used constructing SERS substrate with greatly enhanced properties.
In order to ensure the safety of civil aviation during freezing weather, application superhydrophobic coatings (surfaces) on aircraft is a useful and supplemental way mitigate accumulation frost, ice or snow. this work, surface with hierarchical structure SAE AMS 4037 aluminum alloy plate prepared through chemical etching using hydrochloric acid hydrogen peroxide lower concentration successfully. Comparing bare substrate (untreated-Al), (treated-Al-11) possessed an excellent resistance...
